The email I got said that this product was delivered however I have not received it. Half the order ... a cargo carrier ... was delivered and was in my driveway when I got home from work. The trailer hitch was not there. I checked my mailbox in hopes that the hitch was at the Post Office waiting to be picked up but there was no notice. At this point I am hoping that the delivery driver for some reason overlooked the hitch but I have to admit I am a little on edge over this. While it was a good price on the product it still was not cheap and I have paid for something that I have not received.

I called etrailer to get dimensions on a different hitch I was thinking of ordering. Carrie asked a few questions about my vehicle, which is a 2020 model golf cart that is so new, they haven’t made an own hitch for it yet. She then guided me to this adjustable Curt hitch. I am very grateful for her help. The hitch fits well.

Bought a new Jeep Wrangler 2-door that I wanted to tow cross country. The existing hitch on my Gulfstream BT Cruiser was only rated at 3500 lbs. and I wanted to upgrade that to 5000 lbs. which was allowable after checking all the weight measurements. Found this adjustable hitch on etrailer.com and thought it would work for me. I mounted the brackets and cross bar temporarily to center the receiver and then mark where I needed to drill into the cross bar. Removed the bar and drilled using a step drill bit and finally the regular drill bit. Mounted everything up loosely, then tightened moderately to make sure everything fit right. Then loosened each bolt, applied red loctite, and torqued to spec. Towed the Wrangler over 4500 this past fall and the hitch worked perfectly. Can't be happier.

by:

It didn’t fit on our 2021 Winnebago 2306bhs. The tail end of the trailer has too many rivers to find a spot to drill and attach this.

by:

Very sturdy (and heavy !). Use it for 2 e-bikes for thousands of miles with no issue. Once properly set up, Keeps the bikes separated with no banging on each other.

by:

Well made, however would like to see a single through-bolt to secure the cross piece. Vehicle with low ground clearance presents difficuties when required to fish bolts through frame (4 of them). Shipping notification is state of the art.

by: 10/12/2022

Very sturdy build. Easy installation. My only complaint is with the shipping. Etrailer chose to just drop a 50+lb item in a large cardboard box and send it. Thankfully the parts were shrink-wrapped to the hitch and nothing was lost.

by:

Great product and solid connection to the front of the Discovery 2. Some out of the box thinking to install but most was cutting to fit. All mount points original in frame and slide mounts on hitch were great. Used upside down on mounts and then hung between frame rails.

by:

Product is very well built and looks nice. You may not want pictures of it, as I am installing it on the front of my pick-up to carry a bike rack. The hitches made for the truck put the hitch right in the middle of the license plate--this one will ride very nicely below the air dam below the bumper.

by:

Thanks for the fast delivery you guys are the best

by:

The product is perfect! It didn’t do well in shipping. The box was all torn up and two feet of the bar was sticking out. It wasn’t bent and nothing was missing. That speaks to the strength of the product. Poor shipping is the only reason I gave it a 4. The product itself is definitely a 5.

by:

Well made very strong package grade box wasn't torn awesome appreciate the fast delivery I got a 2 days quicker than I thought and I appreciate it every bit got it assembled today waiting for the rain to stop trying to get it on Monday thanks again

by:

Amazing. Had the hitch welded to my fifth wheel to carry our bicycles. Works perfectly

by:

Installed this hitch on a bus conversion. Installation went well with few modifications.

by:

This hitch is good, and was an adjustable, but too much work for my 2020 transit motor home

by:

Hitch was perfect and installed easily. The powder coating and hardware were high quality.

by:

Although its still sitting on the shop floor it looks great and is heavy duty !! and i am very impressed with shipping came 4 days earlier then expected, that is why its still on the shop floor waiting to be installed I pre scheduled it at the time i expected it. at the welding shop . I called them they could not get it in earlier ( I guess they are not etrailer )

by:

Excellent quality, The price was right. Received the product quickly.

With universal and adjustable RV hitch receivers, some modifying and tweaking may be needed. This item will only work on box frame or C-channel frame RVs. The main hitch body tube can be trimmed so the ends are flush with the frame brackets, but you will have to repaint the tube. Welding may be easier to get a more custom fit with this hitch receiver, but you will need to file away the powder coat to bare metal in order to get a good weld.

by:

Perfect fit and fast delivery

by:

I love it the only thing is it took 4 hours to install because I had to make adjustments well worth it excellent quality price was right will do business again with you agsin

by:

Good quality product but had to make modifications to make it fit my Cardinal Estate's wide frame. Don't recommend doing that unless you're a good welder

by:

Hitch has worked really good. Did a trip to Moab UT. No problems. Very happy with purchase

by:

Was able to modify this hitch to fit my needs and its working very well.

  • How to Attach Both a Spare Tire and Cargo Carrier on the Back of an RV
I have the perfect option for you. For starters, you will need a hitch if you do not already have one and for that I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13702. This hitch fits RV's with frame widths from 18" - 51" apart when measuring from the outside of each rail. The Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier part # RM-195225 can be added to give you a way to carry your spare tire. The great thing about this carrier is that it can be swung downward for easy...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for Class A Motorhome and Car Hauler Trailer
The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 is the highest rated hitch we have for a Class A motorhome. It is rated for up to 6,000 lbs towing when using a weight distribution system or 5,000 lbs without weight distribution. You most likely will need a weight distribution system for your application and if you let me know the trailer capacity and car weight, I'd be happy to make a recommendation.

I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide Item # C13702 since we do not carry a class IV universal hitch and your tongue weight is going to be under 500lbs. This hitch can be welded or bolted and can be cut to fit applications from 18" up to 51" Wide. The PDF file you provided was unable to be opened. This is compatible with motorhomes and 5th wheel trailers as it is built to withstand the additional bouncing. • Hitch for Rear of 2014 Starcraft Pop-Up Camper
If your pop-up has a 4 inch by 4 inch square tube steel bumper, the Curt # E-100 would be a fine choice. If the bumper is aluminum, it likely wouldn't be strong enough and the weight of the rack and bikes could cause the bumper to deform and eventually be crushed. If the bumper won't work, you could go for a frame mounted hitch like # C13702 which fits frame members from 18-51 inches apart. If the frame members are further apart than that, use # 13703 for frame members 22-72 inches apart.

  • Side Brackets on Curt Trailer Hitch C13702 are too Tight to Slide On and Off Hitch Tube
The issue is most likely caused by some excessive powder coating on the brackets, hitch tube, or both for hitch # C13702. It is permissible to sand away excessive powder coat. Some light lubrication will also help. Those two things will probably do the trick but if it still needs a little persuasion might I suggest a rubber mallet rather than a sledge so as not to damage the hitch.
