Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2020 Entegra Coach Motorhome Towing A Jeep Gladiator

Question:

I will be towing a Jeep Gladiator behind my 39foot Gas Motorhome. The motor coach has a 5000 lb receiver and the Gladiator weighs in at 5100 lbs. Here are the specs for my rig. 1. RV Curb weight 20,000 lbs 2. RV GVWR 24,000 lbs 3 RV GCVR 30,000 lbs. 4. RV 5000 lb hitch receiver 5. Jeep Gladiator curb weight 5100 lbs Let me make an Assumption: 3500 lbs of people, pets, gear, supplies, 1/4 tank of fresh water, minimal black water etc. which leaves us 500 lbs under the GVWR or 23,500 lbs. We are now 6500 lbs under our GCVR of 30,000 lbs. Since we will add the Jeep which which weighs in at 5100 lbs we will still be under our GCVR by 1400 lbs. So what I am looking for is a weld on hitch receiver so I can tow the Jeep Gladiator with is currently 100 lbs over the max capacity of the factory hitch receiver of 5000 lbs. What can you recommend for me. Thank you.

For your 2020 Entegra Coach Emblem Motorhome I recommend replacing your factory hitch with the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07 so that you can safely flat tow your Jeep Gladiator.

This trailer hitch receiver has a 16,000lb towing capacity and will fit a frame width of up to 44". You'll want to measure the distance between your frame beams to ensure proper fitment.
