Drop-In Design

This sink has a top-mounted, drop-in design. Drop-in (or self-rimming) sinks are generally quicker and easier to install than undermount sinks, and they can be installed into any countertop material. They also have a lip on the perimeter, so that once the sink is installed, the weight of the sink and its contents are transferred over to the surrounding countertop. This better supports and secures the sink, whereas undermount sinks might fall if not installed properly. In addition, because all parts of drop-in sinks are visible, they are incredibly easy to clean.

Installation

This sink replaces or upgrades your existing bathroom sink. If not replacing an existing sink, a hole 1/4" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink must be cut in the counter top. Once the hole has been made, the sink just drops into place. Brackets and hardware are included to secure the sink to the counter. The use of silicone sealant (sold separately) is recommended.

Is the LaSalle Bristol RV Bathroom Sink 34416166PP an Above or Under Mount
I spoke with LaSalle Bristol and they informed me that the LaSalle Bristol RV Bathroom Sink w/ Stop part # 34416166PP is an above mount bathroom sink. All of the bathroom sinks we offer are an above mount style. Therefore, you would need to mount this sink above the counter in order for it to work for you or you could try to modify it to be used underneath but this I cannot recommend.

Cutout Dimensions to fit 12 " x 15" LaSalle Bristol Sink
The 12" x 15" dimensions are going to be the inside dimensions of the bowl, and there is an extra 3/4" lip that runs around the diameter of the sink. Since these are designed to be mounted on your counter top, you'll typically need a hole at least 12"x15" for this to be mounted. My concern is that your counter top opening is the same size as the outer dimensions of this sink and unless your measurements are slightly off, it won't provide an adequate fit. Hey Pat, thanks for reaching out! I have a solution for you, but I'm not seeing there is a replacement drain tube for the LaSalle Bristol Single Bowl RV Bathroom Sink # 34416166PP. For your application I recommend the Sink Strainer w/ Pop-Up Stopper # 37295235 which has a matching color and is designed for the same drain hole diameter of your sink. So while this isn't an exact replacement, it will still work for your RV.
