Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Flush Mount Water Inlet. This water inlet adds or replaces the water inlet on your RV. It conforms with federal or state laws for drinking water fixtures. It's going to feature the nice white plastic plaster flange. Now from outer edge to outer edge, that's going to give us a diameter of right around 3 inches, again from edge to edge outer diameter. The flange does contain 3 mounting holes.
Those mount holes are going to separated apart from one another on center by . Looks to be about 1 7/8 of an inch. Your mounting hardware is included. The screw heads are actually painted to match the color of the inlet, so that's a nice little feature right there. On the backside, we're going to have the 1/2 inch male pipe thread connection. The unit does include a check valve, garden hose, swivel fitting with the gripper allows you to easily connect it to our water hose.
It's going to have the press-in dust plug. It's going to come with the insulation tape and the mounting hardware. Now, this is going to be the insulation putty tape and this is going to be pipe thread tape. The unit's also going to feature appropriate seals for leak proof performance and it's got a wire mesh screen to keep unwanted items out, really nice design. We take a measurement of the depth that we have from the back of the mounting flange to the end of the connector, that's going to give us a measurement of 1 5/8 of an inch.
From the back of the mounting flange to the very front of the unit, that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to an inch and a quarter. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Flush Mount Water Inlet.

Works great a direct replacement for original equipment. The original leaked water onto ground when trailer water pump was working.

Water trapped between the internal anti backflow valve and the motorhome tank flush valves will freeze and burst the back of the plastic water inlet.
Otherwise the water inlet does its job.
We ordered this to replace the original part on our Cedar Creek camper. Since the installation a year ago it's working fine and was a good replacement for our broken part.
Not a universal fit for campers with this style fitting. The current housing on my camper would not accommodate the flange which was why I wanted it to begin with since the missing flange on mine allowed a gap around the hose connection for an ant freeway into the camper.
Excellent fit ,better quality than my original fitting. Fully synthetic, no metal parts to rust , corrode.. has a great seal that comes along with product.
