The Rhino-Rack Fishing Rod Carrier, # RR573F can hold items up to 1-3/4" thick. Although I have not attempted to fit hockey sticks to the, # RR573F carrier or the longer models, # RR574F and # RR576F, I see no reason you can't use it for that purpose provided stick is not greater than 1-3/4" thick at the point you are clamping.
