The bolts holding the cloth hanger hooks are recessed into the roof. Also how does the front strap attach to the grab handles?

If you are unable to use the included hardware with the RodBunk # IMF17727 due to the design of the clothing hooks in your 2010 Chevy Suburban then it is possible that the hooks on the straps can attach directly to the clothing hooks. The same would go for the grab handles as well.
Another option is to carry the fishing rods on the roof. If your Suburban has the factory roof rack you can use fishing rod carrier # RR574F to hold up to 8 rods.
