They really didn't stay in place, and I ended up riveting them to the car so they would stay on the car.
Do not trust their timelines and expect to be interrogated by customer service if you report missing items. Expect to wait a week for a response from customer service only to be told your missing items are still 6 months out.

One year later and everything works well. I had a problem early on where the rubber protection for one of the j clips from the base towers came off. Contacted etrailer and they sent me a whole new assembly direct from Yakima. Thanks for the prompt response and service!
I have truly enjoyed this system. It allows our family of five plus our dog to stretch out in the car while our gear is secured on the roof. It takes a bit to mount it but I want it secure and it does fine with a roof box at interstate speeds. I absolutely recommend this system.

Bought kayak racks. Took a while to put together, but they are very high quality. etrailer send a wrong part (digits on the part number were reversed), but it was very easy to get this corrected and I received the correct part in less than a week. The clips are very easy to install and good fit on my 2020 Ram 1500.
I was converting a roof rack from my Jeep Cherokee (factory rails) to my RAM 2500 truck (naked roof). While I could use my old Jetstream crossbars, I needed new towers and clips for the truck. There was an error in my original order, the representative thought she was sending me two pairs of clips. I understand the mixup because the Clip box said two meaning 2 clips rather than two pair. etrailer sent another pair immediately and waived the shipping. I like customer service is available and knowledgable. I would give them a five if they hadn't mixed up the first order.
