Question:

I own a rhino rack aero cross bar system. I would like to use it on my Lexus LS 460, but cannot find a fit kit to match anywhere. Have you got any ideas how I can do this? Ever heard of someone making custom clips for these racks? Would any other company's clips be able to be fitted or fabricated to fit the rhino rack towers? Appreciate your help

I have an answer about your Rhino-Rack crossbar system. Unfortunately, I confirmed that Rhino-Rack does not make a crossbar system that is compatible to fit your 2017 Lexus LS 460. Since they do not have any roof racks for your vehicle, they do not manufacture compatible fit kits for the crossbars. Fit kits from other manufacturers do not work with Rhino-Rack crossbars because each company produces specific fitments for their feet/towers. Here at etrailer, we have never seen anyone custom fabricate a fit kit to use crossbars. Even if someone did custom fabricate a fit kit, the length of your crossbars might not be compatible with the width of your roof.

With that being said, we do carry compatible crossbar systems that are made by other manufacturers that are compatible with your bare roof. For that route, I recommend the following setup:

With this setup, the round crossbars are compatible with a wide range of roof rack accessories. As far as weight capacity, the Yakima system provides 165 pounds. It is always a good idea to consult with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your roof can accommodate the weight you wish to transport.
