Can Yakima SkyLine Towers Be Used On 2015 Ram 2500 Mega Cab?

I am wondering if the Yakima Landing Pad 21 would allow me to attach Yakima Skyline towers to my 2015 Ram 2500 Megacab by securing the Landing Pad in the ditch on the roof of my truck. I know that this is an option with the RhinoRack quick mount ditch bracket and this looks very similar. I already have Skyline Towers and Jetstream bars from another vehicle that I would like to move over. Would installing tracks be an option as well then using a different Landing Pad? I would prefer the ditch mount as I think it is capable of a heavier load.

Hello Phil, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, Yakima does not offer a fit for the Skyline towers on a 2015 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. So a roof rack can be added, but not using the landing pad 27 or the Skyline towers. Instead you will need to use the Baseline towers and base clip kit.
You may be able to re use your JetStream bars. How long are they? Yakima recommends a 60" so as long as your bars are 60" or longer they can be used. Here are the rest of the parts you will need:
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # Y28TR
- BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 # Y06135
The only way to use the Skyline towers would be to install a track system like part # Y01135. This would work with the Skyline towers using the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221. You will want to make sure you are good with drilling into your roof, and that you have room for the 60" rails without any obstructions.
The load rating of the roof rack is determined more by the weight capacity of your roof. Your owners manual will specify your roof capacity.

Hey Phil, I hope you're doing well! Did you decide to go with the Baseline towers and base clip kit for your Ram, or did you consider installing the track system for the Skyline towers? I'm curious because your experience could really help others with similar setups.
