To carry up to 4 snowboards on your 2014 Acura MDX I recommend using the Yakima FatCat EVO 6 Rooftop # Y03096. This carrier has a low-profile design that will reduce drag and wind noise.
This system will attach to your factory roof crossbars, if equipped. But, if your 2014 Acura MDX does not have factory installed roof rails or a roof rack system then you will need a roof rack system. I recommend the Yakima roof rack consisting of parts # Y00409, # Y28TR, # Y03536, # Y06150, and # Y06105.
You may also be interested in a tire step for loading and un-loading your snow boards, or other cargo that you might use your roof rack for, I recommend the Topline Wheel Mount Tire Step # HE4040.
