The Inno Aero Roof Rack gives you solid carrying strength for whatever you need to bring along. With a 165 lb weight capacity, it’s ready for cargo boxes, kayaks, or other adventure gear. The aluminum build adds durability without extra weight, giving you peace of mind when the roof is fully loaded.
Long drives are better when you don’t have to listen to wind noise. The aero-style crossbars cut through airflow more cleanly, while the push-down rubber strips in the top channels help reduce vibration and whistling. You can enjoy normal conversation and music rather than road noise from your rack.
Flexibility makes this rack a great match for any season. The top channels accept channel-mount accessories, and the bar shape fits clamp-on mounts too. That means you can load up a kayak cradle in summer, a ski carrier in winter, or a cargo box for a big road trip—all using the same base system.
Getting set up doesn’t need to be complicated. The rack installs directly to raised rails, creating a secure custom fit without extra adapters. Once it’s on, the lockable leg covers help deter theft so your setup stays where it belongs whether you’re parked at camp or in town.
Each crossbar measures 51" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/8" tall, made from lightweight aluminum that resists rust and wear over years of use. It’s finished in black for a clean look and backed by a limited lifetime warranty—strong enough for every season of hauling ahead.

Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Aero Roof Rack on our 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350. Now, if you go ahead and purchase this rack and put it on your Mercedes, why don't you share with what you like about it in the comments below, we'd love to share your experience with other neighbors so that they can make the best decision for themselves. Now, a roof rack is an excellent way to carry any kind of extra cargo or goods that you have when you have a smaller vehicle like the GLK 350. What we could put up here would be a kayak carrier, a roof cargo box to carry some of that extra stuff. There's a lot of things that we can get on the roof of this that really won't take up any space inside, especially if you've got a vehicle full of passengers.
Now this is an aero style roof rack, which means that the crossbars are wider at the front, narrower at the back. What that's really gonna help with is gonna be road noise. These aren't as noisy as your square or your round bars. These are also gonna provide a 165 pound weight capacity. However, it is important to double check your owner's manual and see what the rooftop capacity of the vehicle is.
If it's lower than 165 pounds, then that's your capacity. Now, as far as some of the little features that this is going to come with, it is going to allow you to use your clamp mounted roof accessories. You can remove the end cap here and push down on this weather stripping and slide over your T slotted accessories. And unlike most other roof racks, Inno actually provides locking towers with keys. A lot of other roof racks you're gonna have to purchase those separately, get 'em keyed alike and go through all that hassle.
Not with Inno, they're gonna come right there in the box. Now let's get up on the roof and take a few measurements. Now we've set up our crossbars in a way that we're not gonna be interfering with our first and second row moonroof here, and you'll see that in a moment while we walk you through how to install this. But the way we've got it set up is gonna provide us with a 27-1/2 inch crossbar spread. And that's a nice place to be.
The sweet spot is really between 26 and 32 inches. That's where most rooftop accessories fall into. However, with raised rails, you can technically move these bars kind of any way you want to if you've got a lot of different accessories you want to put up here. The other thing we want to check for is just how much height this adds to the vehicle. So with these on, it's gonna add another 4-3/4 inches of vehicle height, and we've got a 3-1/4 inch clearance from the roof to the underneath of the crossbar. Now, from the end of our tower to the end of our bar, this is going to have an overhang of about 2-1/4 inches. And honestly, I know it's not that tall of a vehicle and people may be concerned about hitting their head on this, but the truth is it's just barely outside of the door threshold. And as far as the bottom of the door where you step out, that's actually even further away from the vehicle. So I'm really not concerned at all about hitting my head on these one bit. Now the installation of the Inno Aero Roof Rack is actually really, really simple. So why don't we walk you through that. Now, installing the towers on our crossbars is actually a really, really simple process. As we look here, we've got our two towers. If we look underneath the bar, we see this kind of tab here with a slot running down. All we're really gonna do is take this kind of T-shaped tab right here, insert it in this slot, press down and slide over, and it'll lock in place. If we want to take it off, we could push this tab down, slide it all the way over and get it out if we want to. But for right now, we're gonna go ahead and just get these on and then get 'em up on our roof. Okay, so in getting it up on our roof, we do have raised rails here, which means technically we can kind of put this wherever we want to. But we have a moon roof on this car right above the first row and another one above the second row. So where I'm gonna try to place it is kind of right here in the door seam. That way it'll be directly above the driver's head. And unless they're looking straight up, we're not gonna really get any interference with that moonroof. So we're gonna just send it across. We wanna make sure that the wider part of the crossbar is facing forward. And I'm just gonna kind of gently set it over there while I get this and loop this rubber strap down underneath the tower. It's gonna go into this little cradle right here. And that should keep it in a pretty good spot until we can make all of our final adjustments. Now I'm gonna go over onto the other side and seat it the same way and we'll be taking a few measurements. Now our rear cross bar is already installed, and where we installed it was so that the rubber strap that wraps around underneath buts right up to the back of this center support on our rails. This is a good placement for it because it's not too far back on the vehicle, but it's not far forward enough that it's gonna interfere with that second row moonroof. And what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna be taking some measurements from here to here. I do want it to be even on both sides. So whatever measurement I get here, I want to go on the passenger side, get the same measurement, that's gonna guarantee that my bars are gonna be parallel and they're gonna be perfectly perpendicular to the rails. And as we have it right now, we're looking at being at about close to 27-1/2, 28 inches, probably 27-1/2 to get the right placement. I'm gonna double check that over on the other side. And that is a decent crossbar spread. Most items that you're gonna be putting up here are gonna need a crossbar spread somewhere between 26 and 32 inches. So depending on what you're putting up here, you know, you could move this forward or back a little bit or vice versa. It's just really important to make sure that they are going parallel and perpendicular to our rails. So now that I've got an even crossbar spread on both the driver and the passenger side, the next thing I want to check on is my overhang, which is how far over the towers this is going to be coming out. So I'm gonna take a measurement here and you can use any spot to measure that overhang from whether it's right here or back here, wherever you're comfortable with. We just wanna make absolutely certain that we're measuring from the same point on both sides, so we get an even overhang on each side, and it's really easy just to slide the bar across to get this evened out. All right, I'm gonna check my driver's side one more time. There we go. So I got a three inch overhang on each side, and now I can tighten everything down without using any tool. We're just gonna use this twist knob here. This twist knob is gonna tighten the bar to our tower, but also tighten the strap from our tower going around the rails, so it really kind of tightens everything down at once. Now, I'm not gonna completely tighten down one side because when you overtighten on one side and it's loose on the other, they could shift a little. So I'm gonna tighten it down maybe five rotations over here. Now I'm gonna go over to the other side and do the same and just incrementally go back and forth until everything's nice and snug. All right, so now that everything is tightened down, we got a good snug fit up here. No shifting around forward or back or side to side. We're ready to go ahead and put our end cap on our tower here. Now you're gonna put this on to where this lock is right here with this slot. So you just slide it right in like that, and then you take the included keys and we'll get that locked in. Now it's on and we're ready to load up and have an adventure. So that's really it, a very simple installation, and a lot of extra features to come with the Inno Aero crossbars. But this is gonna be an excellent system for you to use on your next adventure. I'm Curt with etrailer. Thanks for stopping by.

Noisy driving down the road. The whistle driving at 60mph is ridiculous and the best part, you can’t even exchange them! Thank you for making me look elsewhere for anything that you sell.
Fast shipping and well packaged product. Ordering was easy with the online guide
Strong work great! I’ve dragged my kayak 8000 miles on that rack It held up well in hurricanes wind conditions
Easy to install. Feel solid. I do hear a slight whistle at speed.
Great quality. Easy to install with some common sense as the directions aren't perfect. Locks and crome/black end caps give it a high end feel.
I’ve had the system in place for over a year now and haul dual kayaks often! I love it! The only thing I wish I could change is the wind noise that’s comes with it. But I’m sure with any rook rack system you get that.
Product is great. Fits perfectly with some minor measurement adjustments. Can be assembled by one person, but helps to have two. Bought the complete roof kit and well as the Inno 80 basket for a Mazda CX3, took about two hours to assemble everything.
Solid, easy to adjust, and secure with the Inno aero bars on a 2013 VW Jetta Wagon. Thank you.
We have put these crossbars to work on several road trips and we are very happy with them..
Installation went quickly and the aero bars do not make any noise at all on my Nissan Leaf; even at highway speeds.
Great fit and design for my 2024 rav4. Super easy to install!
These work great! Perfect for mounting J-bars to carry our kayaks. We've already used them for over 30 trips with our kayaks, and they are still like new. e-trailer always provides expert help in making sure I am getting exactly what I need. I am a loyal repeat customer.
Great Fit for my 2017 Jeep Patriot. Easy install and looks great!
I just received and instilled my rack system. Time will tell, but my initial reaction is that of disappointment with the quality of the system, considering what I spent. The cross bars seem to be plastic, and the end caps on the cross bars seem to be plastic and covered with a faux metal chrome. I am curious to see how well this system holds up to the hot Florida sun. The positive is that I like the general shape of the aero crossbars, and they are relatively quiet when I am driving.
These fit the car along with the other Inno items perfectly. They are very secure when combined with the other Inno products. No worries of the rack system coming off. Using them to transport kayaks using kayak holders.
Purchased with the, "Inno Through Feet for Aero Crossbars," for our 2017 Sienna. Pretty simple to install, maybe 20minutes after reading instructions. Seems solid.
thanks to Adam for help and competent approach. Adam listened impeccably and in the shortest possible time helped to deliver the goods I needed
Fantastic customer service and product delivered very quickly!
easy purchase. when I changed vehicles, I needed new feet for my Aero Crossbars. These fit the style roof racks on my 2019 Jeep Cherokee. They were easy to install and took the locks I had from my other Inno mount these replaced. Love the racks,
I upgraded to these Aero Crossbars hoping it would mean a quieter drive with less wind noise. I am so glad I did. There is not noise at all with these bars. I use them with my roof cargo carrier and I don't even notice it is there. These bars are even strong enough to haul my canoe. I am very pleased with them.
Rack looks great on the car.
I've owned it for a year now and it is holding up very well.
Great product, awesome service!
Fits my 2020 Ford Explorer ST great.
Easy to remove for long trips.
This rack does not feel solid on the roof rails. It was fairly easy to install but I have less confidence in it than I had in my old Thule rack. I had an Inno rack on another vehicle that worked just fine, so I thought this one would be ok. I am disappointed that etrailer recommended it.
Very nice quality, made in Japan. Easy to install using the Inno XS150 base stays. The 51" was a nice size for my 2015 Touareg. Many of the manufacturers recomment wider (53-54"), but I like the narrower profile. Unfortunately, the Aero design still creates a slight bit of wind noise at highway speeds, and it gets worse if the sunroof is raised (vent). I like the soft rubber T-channel material which allows the accessories to mount without cutting the material. I also like the slightly arched shape.
