While it is true that price does typically reflect quality, when it comes to roof racks you will be just as happy with the performance of a middle-of-the-road aero-style rack as you would with one of the ones at a higher price-point. Because of this I highly recommend the Inno roof rack for your 2020 Toyota 4Runner with the raised side rails. This consists of 54" Aero Crossbars # INXB138-2 and the Through Feet # INXS150. It not only gives you the aerodynamic crossbars but the feet also come with locks and the rubber strip on top of the bars gets pressed down for T-Slot accessories so no trimming it required.

Then for a surfboard carrier I recommend the Locker Watersport Carrier # INXA445 which allows you to carry up to 2 surfboards. This specific carrier mounts in the T-Slot of the crossbars so it looks clean when installed and it comes with locks that secure both the carrier and your board(s) to itself. The equipment that comes with the carrier comes with pads and a rubber coating on the straps for protection but I also recommend using the board pads # INA771 to protect your surfboard from the crossbar.
