This exterior wall vent keeps rain and water from getting into the range hood exhaust outlet. The built-in canopy blocks out water, and the damper can be locked shut when you’re not using the fan. That lock keeps the flap from rattling in the wind and helps seal out moisture when parked or stored.
The 5/8" deep collar extends just enough to overlap the outlet flange without sticking too far into the wall, making it a good fit for thinner wall setups. It installs into a 10-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall rough opening, so swapping out an older vent is straightforward without cutting new holes.
Made from heavy-duty plastic, this vent is built to handle years of exposure to sun, wind, and debris. The polar white finish blends in cleanly with most surfaces and keeps the exterior looking uniform.
Installation is easy with just 10 screws and a bead of sealant. Once sealed and fastened, the vent sits flush and tight against the wall, ready to keep the airflow moving and the weather outside where it belongs.

Working great. The vent flap can be a little annoying in a wind as it flaps . Has locking tabs but not practical to lock and unlock without a ladder. The unit has yellowed from sun exposure but still functional

The vent is working great. Your website made it easy to the right one and I have had no issues. Thanks for the follow up. I will be purchasing all of my parts from etrailer in the future.

Thought it broke after siding our house so we ordered another only to discover that the flap was only lodged up, out of sight. So we have a spare that we wiil probably never need. That cover is on the ocean, stormy side of our house and is still like new.

The tabs that hold the vent closed broke after about 5 or 6 months. I have been using a pool noodle piece to keep it from flapping around and bugs from going in..
