Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the SmartPlug Marine Power Cord adapter. Now this four-foot-long adapter is going to convert your boat's 50-amp smart plug inlet to a 15-amp plug. All you need to do is grab your extension cord to plug into a standard outlet. You're gonna be able to recharge your boat's battery or keep it plugged in for battery maintenance in the off-season. Taking a closer look here, I just wanted to show you that this does come with a protective cap here.
Of course, you'll just squeeze those release levers there, and I'm gonna be able, you can easily remove the cap. That's a nice hard piece of plastic there that's gonna protect that outlet. I do happen to have an extension cord here, so I'm just gonna plug this in to the extension cord just like that. And the reason I'm doing that is I do wanna show you that there is a blue light here that's gonna let you know that everything is okay, and that the power is flowing. I'll just kill my lights here real quick in the studio, and you can see that.
And I'm just gonna turn that back on there. Now, if something's wrong, you're gonna get either a combination of blue and red or red. And obviously if this isn't, this doesn't have any power at all, you will get no light here. So I do appreciate that feature. You'll get a little instruction card letting you know what the combination of lights mean if you do get a red light or a red and blue light, something like that.
So, this is really constructed of high quality materials. So this is gonna hold up really well in extreme climates are out on the water. It's a marine. This features a marine-grade stainless steel components that are gonna hold up season after season. And the nickel-plated brass electrical pins and tin wires are gonna resist corrosion.
The plastics are UV and heat-resistant. Bay locks, 553U resins if you we inchesre wondering. And of course, it's a bright, visible orange color, so you're not gonna be able to easily lose this. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Came quickly and is good quality.
Excellent, fast service, complete with detailed package tracking. I will definitely shop there again.
It arrived in great shape. This will allow me to travel with a lighter weight 30 Amp line for my 50 Amp Airstream when I have no need to run both A/C units. For a 4ft cord, the price was disappointing, hence only 4 stars, but it was what I needed, and I am happy it was available from eTrailer. The 50 Amp cords are like carrying a python.
Very fast delivery & great communication during the whole process!
Exactly what I needed to be able to use my old 30 amp twist lock cables with the new rv
The SmartPlug is a great innovation, far better and more secure than the old style, twist connectors, and safer for your RV or boat. This new pigtail makes it even easier to switch to the SmartPlug since now there is no need to cut the end of a perfectly good shore power cord in order to adapt to this superior system. Plus you add 4 feet to the length of your cord. This is the second boat I have converted to the SmartPlug system.
Outstanding customer service!
It is what I needed….but mega expensive. The delivery was as promised and the product arrived in good shape. Once agin I am pleased to do business with etrailer.
