Review of the Mighty Cord 50 Amp Detachable RV Power Cord

Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at this mighty cord 50 amp cable. This is going to be your power cable to connect your camper or RV to your power source when you get to your campsite. This cable is going to be 25 feet in length and have a female end that goes into your camper or RV and a male end that'll go into your power source at your campsite. If you're regularly going to campsites that might have a plug opposite side of your plug on your camper or RV, you might want to pick up a little bit longer cable. We do have multiple available here at etrailer.

We'll go ahead and show you how to get it in place. You'll want to line up your two prongs with your two prongs inside that have the notches on them, so we'll line them up, slide them in, and rotate to lock it in place. It did add one more feature to keep it attached to your camper, this little collar that you'll thread on to keep it locked into place. Here in our male end you'll see that we have our four prongs for our 50 amp, and they do include a little bit larger knobs here than your traditional style plug to be able to grip onto, to pull out when you have it plugged into your source. When camping, if you have a 50 amp service on your camper, it's a good idea to go ahead and use a 50 amp cable. If you have to convert down to a 30 amp, you can always do that. You can't go to the other way, so you'll just pick up one of these 30 amp converters.

It's nice to have on hand, plug it into your 50 amp and it converts it down to 30. Overall, I think it's going to have a nice heavy duty construction with water tight seals, which is a good feature to have when out in the weather. With all that being said, that's going to do it for a look at the 50 amp 25 foot mighty cord.
