Hello buddy. This is [email protected]. Today, we're gonna take a look at the smart plug, 50 foot long, 30 amp female, two 15 amp male, marine power cord. Now this cord will let you connect your boat to shore power with the smart plug multi point locking system connector. On this one right here, you have a 30 amp female connector plug. That's designed to plug into the smart plugin lid on your boat.
Now the smart plug inlet, if you don't have one, we do sell those separately on our website. Usually, they're listed on this product page as a related product. And on the other end of the cord, you can see as your normal 15 amp wall plug connector, that'll plug in at the dock side pedestal or an extension cord. Now this is a multi locking system, so it ensures a nice, solid connection. You can see the sleeve design of this helps keep the weight and the tension off of the electrical pins and the whole body of the plug will bear the weight to keep the points of your electrical contact secure.
And if you notice thing are straight in connection of the smart plug female end, which makes plugging it in very easy, even when it's dark out. And on the very inside right here has a triple weatherproof seal to help prevent water, corrosion and overheating. So when you plug this in, it locks into place, that'll help seal it. And you can see just by squeezing this as squeezing the handles on each side, when you squeeze it open, you know, release it. And then when you go to plug it in, you just push it in and it'll pop those levers open and clip it into place to hold it securely.
Also a nice feature on this cord, if I can show you at the very top right here, if you'll notice this part, this is an LED reverse polarity indicator light. It'll confirm correct connection when you plug it in. So when you, if you plugged this in and there's no light showing, that means there's no power on that connection. If you plug it in and it shows a blue light, that means your normal power is connected, it's all ready to go. And if you plug this in and there's a blue and a red light, that means you reverse polarity.
So you're going to disconnect it. And if you plug it in and it's just so red light only, that's a dangerous, reverse polarity. So you need to disconnect immediately. Construction on this cord. All the external metals are marine grade three 16 stainless steel. The electrical pins are nickel plated brass, and all the classics are UV and heat resistant. You can see this court is this nice, bright orange color, so you can see it. And this even comes with this nice, clear weather cap. Now, when you're not plugged in, you just push it. And it snaps in place helps protect the plug from the elements when it's not plugged in. And also the nice features, because it's clear, you can read right on the front of the plug, but the size of the plug is, and to release it, just push it on the levers and then release it. This part is made in the USA specs again, total length is 50 feet. The amperage on the female end is 30 amps. The male end is 15 amps and the voltage on the cord is like 125 volts. This item was originally ordered last summer but was out-of-stock in the inventory and was on back order. Multiple times the manufacturer established a delivery date that then a few days before the delivery date postponed delivery and re-established a new delivery date. etrailer kept me informed via email whenever they received new information from the manufacturer.

I realize this is a user specific device but to anyone who has converted their rv to the 50amp smart plug this is very expensive but also very worth it I no linger will need my 50’ 50 amp cord coiled up under the trailer when it is plugged into the 15amp circuit to our house Excellent quality and extremely handy

It’s a power plug. It works as it should. Not sure why it needs to be so expensive though. Classic proprietary design language that allows corporate greed to screw us all.

Just what is needed to hookup trailer to house current for precamping setup
This adapter is exactly the right solution to keep the Lithium batteries on my Classic Airstream charged. My storage facility provides a 120V connection for this purpose, and I have the right dog bone adapters to use the AS factory shore cable. But I'd rather not have the expensive factory cable lying about for security reasons. I put a 30' 10 gauge 15 amp extension cable on this that cost about $40.
The adapter is great. I use it to connect my Honda 2000 generator to my camper van to charge the lithium battery pack. I don't need to drag out the 30 foot 30 amp cord since I limit the charging current to 10 amps. I'm buying a "pocket yacht" a Ranger Tug 25 which has a smart plug connection. I'll carry the Honda and use the adapter there as well
Moochdocking Solution for your late model Airstream
Moochdocking or just keeping the batteries and fridge going? This is the neat convenient solution. Indicator light on the plug let you know your power is good.
I use it at the house and at my indoor storage.
