Can PowerMax Wireless 50A RV Power Center and Distribution Panel be Used in Cargo Trailer

Published 01/08/2026

Question:

Can I use this panel in a cargo trailer conversion trailer, that I am going to power up with an 8K Inverter that only provides AC power? I am thinking if I feed this panel I can have the best of both worlds.

Hey Rich, yes you can definitely use the PowerMax Wireless 50A RV Power Center and Distribution Panel # PM77VR in your cargo trailer setup. You'd run the AC input to this and you'd have DC power circuits for anything that's DC powered in your trailer. Anything that runs off AC would get power from your inverter. Do you have a battery setup too?

Yes I have (2) 48v 100 AH LifePO4 Lithium Batteries feeding the inverter.

@RichS Makes sense! Would a 50 amp converter have the needed amperage for your setup you think?

@JamesonC I think so. I will actually have more AC load than DC. The PM77VR is on its way and I did like the ability to control some of the cicuits theu the app.
