  For towing mirrors that allow you to retain the electronic adjustment and full display of your mirrors on your 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD you either need to use custom towing mirrors like part # CM10800 (will not fit telescoping or chrome mirrors) or replace your current mirrors with part # KS62139-40G which puts the additional mirror underneath but still gives you the desired standard mirror design you are looking for.   For your 2007 GMC Envoy, I would recommend either the CIPA Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part # 7070 or the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part # 11953. These mirrors fit most factory mirrors, as long as they have the lip or ridge running around the edge of the mirror. The mirrors use clips and straps to attach, they need the lip running around the edge of the mirror to provide an attachment point.
