Cold air can slip through gaps between adjacent RV tires. These inflatable wedges help close those openings and extend your AirSkirts barrier through the wheel area for more complete cold-weather coverage.
Adjacent tires can leave openings above and below the point where they come closest together, giving cold air another path through the wheel area. Place an inflatable wedge in each open space to continue the skirting barrier between the tires. This 22" size is designed for larger tires or wider gaps, but many RV tire setups may only need the smaller 17" wedge , so measure the space between the bases of adjacent tires before ordering. On RVs with enclosed wheel wells, the wheel well may already block the upper opening, so only a lower wedge may be needed. Dual-axle RVs may require up to 4 wedges, while triple-axle RVs may require up to 8. Wheel chocks must be placed outside the tires, and these wedges cannot be used with X-style wheel stabilizers.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the AirSkirts RV insulation tire wedges. So folks, if you're already using the AirSkirt system around your RV or camper, those tires can still have openings in between them that can let cold air pass through. So these inflatable wedges are designed specifically to fill those openings between the adjacent tires and also continue the AirSkirt barrier, that way no air gets through the tires. Now, as you can see from the image on the screen, that's a tandem axle and it took two wedges for one side. So you do get quantity two with purchase.
So if your setup looks something like this, meaning you have lots of air gaps, you may need two sets on the tandem and you may need all the way up to eight total wedges, maybe three sets, I'm sorry, four sets, if you have a triple axle. So just keep those kinds of things in mind. Now, if you have enclosed wheel wells and you don't need that extra one, that's perfectly fine. One set of two may get you enough coverage on a standard tandem axle. So just keep those kinds of things in mind.
Again, these are the larger 22-inch wedges. We do sell these in a smaller 17-inch if this is gonna be too big for you. And I just aired one of these up just so you can kind of see what they look like and how they function. They're gonna come deflated, two of them in a box. When you get them, very high quality material.
Everything has been plastic welded or our solvent weld rather on all the seams. It's supposed to have some give to it. The idea is you're gonna put this in between those tires. You're gonna air it up and it's going to basically hug the contour and make the shape and fill in the gap in between those tires to, again, prevent that cold air from getting through. And then obviously whenever it's time to deflate them and put them away, you just simply open the cover here and then you have a push.
That's automatically gonna stop air until I push it again. And this is also where you would inflate it as far as inflating them. So again, it doesn't take long to put them away whenever you're done using them. You just simply hold the center there and level the air out. And then obviously I can make that super small and flat and then put them in a under storage compartment or something until the next season when I would need them again. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap up our equipment together. Keep in mind, your wheel chocks must be outside of your tires, not in between them with these things to work. And also you're not gonna be able to use those X-Style wheel stabilizers and these because obviously they're going in the same spot. So you won't be able to use these if you're using X-Style wheel stabilizers. That's gonna wrap up our look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
