How to Install the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors on a 2005 GMC Sierra

Today, on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we'll be installing the CIPA custom towing mirrors in the slip-on design, part number CM10800. The towing mirror portion itself of the outer mirror is a manually-adjustable mirror, tilts in all different angles, and you will still have full function of your factory mirror. Before you can begin the installation, you need to add the felt strip to this bracket right here. You just peel the backing off, and it'll adhere just like that. Since we're just doing a test fit today, we're not actually going to stick this on permanently. Once you have your felt strip adhered to the bracket here, go ahead and slide it in here. When we go to put our bracket or the wedge piece in here, we'll need to go ahead and line this little slot up here with this little tab right here. Go ahead and slip it in place. Now we're ready to install our towing mirror onto our factory mirror. We'll go ahead and take our towing mirror.

We'll slide the bottom edge over the factory mirror. While doing that, we'll then slide the top portion up over. The final step is to take the plastic screw here and thread it in and tighten it down. Now that we've completed the driver's side, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process over on the passenger side. And that'll do it for our installation of the CIPA custom towing mirrors in the slip-on design, part number CM10800, on our 2005 GMC Sierra. .
