Can TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack TH27000XT-EX Be Installed Over Plastic Bed Rail Protectors

Question:

Looking at buying a TracRac truck Rack system for my 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 6-6 Bed. I had the dealer install Plastic over the Rail Protectors. Can the TracOne or T Rac be installed over these rails. I didnt want to have to remove or cut them to make it work.

The TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part # TH27000XT-EX, can be installed over plastic bed rail protectors. Since this ladder rack system uses C-clamps for installation, no drilling or cutting of your rail protectors is required as long as you have access to the underside of the bed rails (where the clamps will be positioned). I confirmed this with my contact at TracRac.

Please refer to the inked video which demonstrates installation in a truck with plastic bed rail protectors. Installation instructions are also attached. I have also included a detail photo showing the positioning of the clamps.

The 800-lb-capacity rack offers powder-coated and clear-coated aluminum load bars and includes four loop tie-downs designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment.
