Is MouseBlocker PROx Compatible with Side Post Batteries

Updated 02/02/2026 | Published 01/29/2026

Question:

Are the battery connections on the mouse blocker thin enough to slide on the battery bolt on a 2020 chevy express van. The van has a side post or do I have to buy post extenders.

Hey Bernie, I checked with MouseBlocker and the PROx part # MB94FR is compatible with side posts like what your battery has so it would work well for you. How bad are the mice for you? Caused much damage?

They aren't bad yet.We just noticed that they were chewing nuts under the hood.Hopefully they haven't moved into the cargo area yet.I have several packs of grampa guss in there so they might stay out .we will have to wait and see.

@Bernie We had the MouseBlocker people here and they swear this will work really well in situations like yours so if they do get in there this will work. They also said it's easier to prevent them from getting in than it is to get them out once they are established so if you see signs of it getting that way I'd try and act as quick as possible.

@Bernie, we bought two types: one to connect to 119 volt power source and the other to connect directly to the car battery. We had mice in the shed and in the car. After installation which was easy, there has not been any signs of mice. So far we are satisfied and happy with the results.

Bernie...I think they should be. I have mine connected to posts on deep cycle trolling motor batteries and had no problems.

@JamesonC I tried hooking up to the side mount battery terminal.there isn't enough space to fit the wire and the metal end and still tighten the battery bolt.I cut the ends off and sodiered aligator clips for now its working If this weather ever warms up I will probably re do it with battery post extenders.I think aligator clips should be ok for now.
