Question:
I have a great solution for you. Even though the independently-adjusting cradles on the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR eliminate the need of a bike frame adapter bar, the OnRamp is not safe to use on the back of a flat-towed vehicle. I I confirmed with the engineers at Yakima that the OnRamp cannot withstand the extra torque/forces exerted on the rack during transport on your 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Even if the OnRamp was approved, the 5-inch distance between the center of the pinhole and the closest part of the rack would interfere with your bumper/spare tire of your Wrangler. As far as mounting on the back of your 2019 Jeep Wrangler, you will not have enough shank length to clear your bumper and spare tire with any other option of rack that has independently-adjusting arms and ramp like the OnRamp. If you are using a compatible hitch like the etrailer hitch # e98856, you need at least 8 inches to clear your bumper and spare tire. With this requirement, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR. As far as shank length, the E-Spec measures 10-1/2 inches from the center of the shank pin hole to the closest part of the rack. The E-Spec will allow you transport e-bikes up to 70 pounds and attach bikes with tires up to 3 inches wide. If you have fat-tire bikes, you will need to purchase the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # S64679. Since the E-Spec does not have the same adjusting cradles as the OnRamp and the RV Rider, you will need to purchase the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005 for your bikes. We unfortunately do not have a ramp option for a rack that can withstand the torque/forces on a flat-towed vehicle.
