Question:

One more question. Both of my bikes, Electra Amsterdam and Electra Ticino have fenders on the front and back and brake assemblies forward of the front post. I am assuming that the “tire clamp” can be placed forward of the fender and pull into the fender instead of the front post or brake assembly and still hold the bikes securely. Pictures of bikes attached. Is that assumption correct?

For starters, bike racks used on the back of a 5th wheel trailer must be rated for this use as they will experience more stress in comparison to a bike rack used on the back of a vehicle. This has to do with the movement associated with the carrier being located father away from the rear axle.

Actually, since both your Electra Ticino and Electra Amsterdam have fenders you are going to want to use the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack part # S44FR that you originally inquired about. This is a frame mount rack and will do a much better job of securing the bikes with fenders. The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S64693 would not be able to provide enough support even with the uprights positioned forward of the fenders. Due to the alternative frame of the Electra Amsterdam, you are also going to need an adapter bar like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar part # 64005. You could also take a look at the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # LGA77FR. This is a premium option that will work with your alternative frames and your fenders without an adapter.
