The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR can support up to 35 lb bikes so since you're needing to carry E-Bikes you need the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack # HLY66ZR instead, which is rated for up to 70 lb bikes.

I know the price difference between those racks is quite a jump so for a mid-tier option we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR, which can support up to 80 lb bikes and still secures bikes by the frame.

I'm attaching review videos for each rack for you to check out.

I have an electric bike that weighs 55lb. Can I use this rack for that if I only load my one bike on it? In other words, is the 35lbs per bike for 2 bikes, mean the rack can hold up to 70?

@Anna Great question! The 35 lb rating has more to do with the capacity of the individual trays than it does as a general weight rating. Sure, the main frame can handle the 55 lbs, but loading your bike onto one of the trays will overload it by 20 lbs and cause issues later on down the road. For an alternative bike rack that has a higher weight rating, I recommend the Inno Tire Hold Bike Rack # INH110. This carries a single bike and will work as long as you don't have fenders that cover most of your tires.

@JonG thank you for the reply. I cannot afford anything more than $250 right now so I was really hoping this one would work. And I am rather small so need a lightweight one that I can manage. What do you mean by issues later down the road? If I only ever put my one 55lb bike on it, do you think it would be okay for my needs? I usually take my bike within 10-30 minutes from my house. The farthest I would travel with it is about an hour (if that matters for your recommendations)

@Anna If you were to use that bike rack, I fear that the tray wouldn't be able to handle the weight, and your nice bike could end up falling off the rack during travel. The only other rack that fits what you're looking for to a tee is the Benton LittleShift # B54VR. Aside from that, we don't really have anything that can handle the weight of your bike and hits around the price-point you're looking for.
