Keep the capacity, lose the clunk. This anti-rattle collar helps quiet ball mounts, racks, and carriers in your 2-1/2" receiver, while the included reducer keeps your 2" gear from collecting dust in the garage.
A 2-1/2" receiver gives you the capacity you need for bigger towing and hauling setups, but your ball mount, bike rack, cargo carrier, or other hitch-mounted gear can still rattle around. This anti-rattle collar presses against your accessory to help cut down on play, clunking, and movement.
The included reducer lets you use your 2" ball mounts and hitch-mounted accessories in a 2-1/2" receiver, so the gear you already own doesn't get left behind. The collar can stay in place when you use the reducer or switch accessories, and you don't have to use the reducer with 2-1/2" accessories. But when you need to step down to 2", this is the only reducer made to work with the collar.
This collar is especially helpful with heavy hitch-mounted gear that tends to shift, clank, or feel loose in the receiver. It can't be used while towing with a weight distribution system, but after you drop the trailer, you can use it to help keep the weight distribution head from clunking around instead of pulling out and storing a heavy, bulky head every time.

It doesn’t fit my ram 2500
I LOVE IT!
Excellent build quality, easy to install only negative would be the mounting pins on the back. If you have a hitch lock with a large lock on it the mounting pins could interfere with that. I am using the bolt lock and the housing of the bolt lock rubs against the pins, but still installs so be careful your clearances.
Fits my 2025 2500 GMC sierra.

Perfect fit exactly what I needed! I have a RAM 2500 Longhorn and pull a 5th wheel 5 months a year. We have “Rock Tamers” mud flaps that mount to the receiver hitch. They work great but have always wobbled around and made noise. Not anymore!! The etrailer anti rattle hitch collar fit perfectly and was easy to install. It is excellently designed and will last for years. I would highly recommend this if you have receiver hitch noise and want to tighten things up. 5 Stars. Great work etrailer!!

I'm interested in why it's not fitting for you. Do you have the 2-1/2" receiver on your 2500? Does the collar not stay on or is it because it won't wrap around the lip?
