Locking Hitch Pin For etrailer 10k Ball Mount In 2-1/2 Inch Receiver

Updated 10/05/2026 | Published 10/03/2026

Question:

Hi etrailer, I'm looking at your ball mounts for a 2-1/2" receiver and need one with a 2" ball. I also want a locking hitch pin since my truck sits outside and I'll probably leave the ball mount installed most of the time. Which ball mount and lock should I get?

Hey Adam! You can use the Curt Hitch Lock # C23519 with any of our 10k etrailer ball mounts for 2-1/2" receivers. You'll want to choose from the following based on the amount of drop you need:

-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball 2" Drop # e68TV

-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball 4" Drop # e48TV

-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball 6" Drop # e98TV

The # C23519 has a stainless steel pin so it will hold up well against rust and corrosion when you leave it installed on the truck. The lock uses a quarter-turn design so it's easy to install and remove, and the watertight dust cap helps keep dirt and moisture out of the keyway. It also comes with two keys.

What truck and trailer are you setting up?

I leave the ball mount in my truck most of the time so I definitely want something that won't rust up. Sounds like the stainless steel lock is worth it.

@Adam absolutely, especially if you're leaving it installed year-round. The stainless steel # C23519 is worth the upgrade and should hold up really well to the weather.
