Hey Kevin! Yes, etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2.5" Hitch Receivers # e55YV can be installed in the standard upright position, or rotated to either side if that provides better clearance for your application.

The only exception is if you're using the reducer with a 2" accessory, then it needs to be installed right side up. It should never be installed upside down, as the gate and adjustment knob need to be positioned correctly for the collar to function as intended.

Will you be towing a trailer or carrying an accessory like a cargo carrier?
