Question:
I'm looking at your ball mounts for a 2-1/2" receiver and need one with a 2-5/16" ball. I also want to be able to lock it into the receiver since I'll probably leave it on the truck most of the time. Which ball mount and lock should I get?

Hey Steve! You can use the InfiniteRule Hitch Lock # 34061072-D with any of our 20k etrailer ball mounts for 2-1/2" receivers. You'll want to choose from the following based on the amount of drop you need:
-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2-5/16" Ball 2" Drop # e38TV
-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2-5/16" Ball 4" Drop # e58TV
-etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2-5/16" Ball 6" Drop # e26TV
The # 34061072-D is made from stainless steel so you won't have to worry about it rusting away after being exposed to rain and road salt. It also uses a screw-on lock instead of a standard pin and clip, so your ball mount stays secured to the truck when you leave it installed. It comes with two keys and the lock has a weather-resistant dust cap to help keep dirt and water out of the keyway.
What truck and trailer are you setting up?

I liked this particular hitch lock because it had a rating on it. The only other locking hitch pins with ratings that I could find were at least double the price. Been using it for three years now (towing an Airstream and on my B&W ) and it works great with no issues. If I had to get another, I’d get the same.

I have the infiniteRule hitch lock on my B&W tow and stow with the 3 ball sizes. Have had no issues and feel comfortable pulling anything my 2500 Duramax can pull with it.

Thanks Robin. This is going on my 2025 Ram 2500 and I'm towing a 10k enclosed car trailer. Looks like the 4" drop should put me right where I need to be.
