Features to know about

A Matched Kit That Simplifies the Install

One of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is figuring out which parts are compatible. This kit takes that off your plate. The rooftop unit, air distribution box, and thermostat are made to work together, so installation is smoother and the setup more reliable. Whether you're doing the install yourself or paying someone else to do it, having everything in one kit makes the process faster and less stressful.

Cooling Power for Bigger Spaces

With 15,000 Btu of cooling power, this system moves air through your ceiling ducts to cool larger RVs or drop the temperature fast in smaller ones. You'll feel the temperature shift within minutes, not hours, so your RV stays comfortable even in the middle of summer.

Easy, Accessible Control at the Ceiling

The air distribution box gives you control right at ceiling level. Open the louvers for direct cooling into the cabin or close them to push air through your ducts. The slim, low-profile design leaves you with more overhead clearance inside, and the swing-open grille makes it easy to reach and wash the filter. No tools needed. Just pull, rinse, and snap it back into place.

Add Heat for Chilly Mornings

Sometimes it's not cold enough to run the furnace, but it's too chilly to be comfortable. This system is prepped for a 5,600 Btu heat strip (sold separately), which is a simple way to take the edge off on those in-between mornings. It's easy to install and helps your space warm up without the noise or power draw of a full furnace cycle.

The units were in great shape as they were delivered. when I was putting in my order the screen said Sunday delivery, when I submitted the order it changed to Monday, when I tracked the order it said Tuesday. It was Tuesday that it was delivered. that is the only negative thing about my order. everything else is as ordered. I did not realize I ordered the units with the control knobs but that was my mistake. I really needed the ones with the thermostat controls. If there is a kit to switch it from the knobs to the thermostat I would love to know what it is.

  • Difference Between Coleman-Mach Roughneck Mach 15 and Signature Mach 15
Hey Bill, great question! The Signature Mach 15 is your standard AC unit which is probably what you want. The Roughneck has a fortified interior making it ideal for off-road and heavy industrial vehicle applications. Basically it is made to take more of a beating. If you had an old carrier and it is wearing out from use over time (I'm guessing that is the case here) the Signature is what you want. If you have been off-roading with your trailer lately and it killed off the Carrier then...

  • Replacement for Coleman-Mach AC on Travel Trailer
Hey Kyle! You can replace your old Coleman-Mach AC with one of the new ones. However, you will need to replace the thermostat and air distribution box as well. All of the new AC units use R32 refrigerant following the 2025 EPA guidelines so any old R410A components aren't compatible. We have 13,500 Btu or we have the 15k units if you want to upgrade. You can choose from the following based on color and ducted/ductless: -Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 RV AC System - Ductless - 13,500 Btu...

  • Can Furrion Chill HE Replacement AC Replace Coleman Mach 8 in 2020 Vanleigh Beacon
Hi Jake; the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # FR32PV is an old kit that is on its way out. We no longer recommend replacing just the AC unit, and can't guarantee this will work as a plug and play replacement. We have had customers in the past successfully swap them out, others have found the connector doesn't work, sometimes the systems don't work together, and occasionally mixing up the AC with other components burns out the air distribution box (ADB)....

  • Of Plug-In Replacement For Coleman Mach 15 AC Unit On 2016 Keystone Impact TT Toy Hauler
Hello Shayne, thanks for reaching out. We do have an option for replacing your Coleman Mach 15 AC, but I am sorry to say there are no plug-and-play replacements for this. Reason being is all new RV AC units changed over to a new R32 refrigerant starting in 2025. These new units are not backwards compatible with old pre 2025 AC systems. So you will need to replace your rooftop unit, controller, distribution box and thermostat. For that, I recommend the following: - Coleman-Mach Signature...

  • Can Coleman-Mach AC Replace Dometic Duo-Therm on 2014 Forest River Travel Trailer
Hey Earl! Yes, the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 AC system can replace your old Dometic Duo-Therm. These are new R32 refrigerant units (everything is as of 2025) so a complete replacement will be necessary. You can choose from the following based on ducted/ductless and the color: -Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 Air Conditioner System - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - Textured White # CM43RR -Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 Air Conditioner System - Ductless - 15,000 Btu - Polished White # CM93RR -Coleman-Mach...

  • Does The Coleman-Mach Signature System Run Quiet?
Hey Gloria, This Coleman-Mach Signature Ac Unit # CM52RR is the same as most standard RV ac units when it comes to noise. A typical ac unit on an RV runs around 55-70 decibels which is comparable to background noise in a busy restaurant. It is hard to really put a number to the sound since everyone hears differently. I would say this unit does not run quiet, but it is also not loud. What ac system do you currently have?

  • Complete RV Ducted AC System For Lifted Off-Road RV That Sees Rough Roads
Hey Melissa, for a toy hauler that regularly gets dragged down rough roads, I’d recommend the Coleman-Mach Roughneck Mach 15 # CM65RR. That’s the one in this ducted lineup that really fits the way you’re using the trailer. It gives you the full ducted setup with the rooftop AC, air distribution box, and wall thermostat, but the big advantage is the reinforced construction for harsher roads and more vibration. If this were mostly normal highway and campground use, I’d point you more toward...

  • AC Unit Complete Kit With Heat Strip For Chilly Mornings - RV With Ducted AC Vents In Ceiling
Hey Cheryl, if you want a comfort-minded setup, I’d recommend either the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR or the Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR, depending on the size of your RV and how hard your current AC has to work in summer. Then I’d pair it with the optional heat strip # CM96RR. That gives you a complete ducted AC replacement for summer, plus a little electric heat to take the chill off on cool mornings. I just wouldn’t treat the heat strip like a furnace replacement. It’s more...

  • Which Air Conditioning Complete System Including Thermostat Is Good For Smaller Travel Trailer?
Hey Derek, not necessarily. If your fifth wheel is on the smaller side and your old system cooled well enough most of the time, I’d start with the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR. It’s still a complete ducted system with the rooftop unit, ducted air distribution box, and wall thermostat. It still does a great job of cooling most RVs. I’d only jump to the Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR if your old AC was always behind the curve in summer heat and you already know you need more cooling,...

  • Replacing Broken AC Unit In 2017 Forest River Cherokee - Ducted With Vents In Ceiling
Hey Brandon, for a 33-foot trailer in Texas heat, I’d recommend stepping up to the Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR. If your old 13.5K unit already felt like it was struggling, going back with another 13.5K system probably won’t change much. It’s also a good time to replace the full setup, because these newer systems use R32 refrigerant, and the newer AC parts aren’t backward compatible with older systems. The nice thing with # CM52RR is that it’s a complete ducted system with...

  • Which AC Units Are Going To Draw Lowest Amperage For Off-Grid Camper With Generator?
Hey Steve, these all run on 115/120V AC power, and the draw depends on the model and conditions. The Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR is listed at 12.8 amps in mildly warm weather (85 degrees F), and the Roughneck Mach 3 # CM95RR is the same size and amp draw. On the 15,000 Btu side, the Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR and Roughneck Mach 15 # CM65RR are both listed at 13.9 amps draw in the same weather conditions. These are among the most efficient, lowest amp units out there. So there is a little...

  • Deciding Between Ducted AC Unit 13,500 BTU Or 15,000 BTU Coleman Mach In 2019 Keystone Cougar
Hey Aaron, if you’ve got ceiling vents spaced through the trailer that carry the air away from the AC opening, that’s the big clue you have a ducted setup, and these Coleman-Mach systems are for ducted RV units only. A quick way to double-check is to look at your current ceiling assembly. If the main AC ties into a network of ceiling ducts and vents instead of only dumping air right at the unit, you’re in the right category for the ducted units like Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR or Signature...

  • Will Heat Strip Help In Chilly Weather Camping Using Coleman Mach AC Units?
Hey Cheryl, I’d think of the Coleman heat strip # CM96RR as a comfort add-on, not a true furnace replacement. It’s a great option if you want to take the chill out of the cool mornings, but I would not count on it to do the same job as your RV furnace in genuinely cold weather. That applies across the ducted systems you’re looking at, including units like the Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR, Roughneck Mach 15 # CM65RR, Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR, and Roughneck Mach 3 # CM95RR. It’s a nice upgrade...

  • Which Coleman Mach AC Unit Is Going To Stay Together On Toy Hauler On Rough Gravel Roads?
Hey Melissa, in your case the Roughneck Mach 15 (15k btu) # CM65RR is exactly the one I’d be looking at. The big difference between that and the Signature Mach 15 (also 15k btu) # CM52RR is the tougher reinforced construction on the Roughneck unit. That model is built around harsher use where more vibration and rougher travel are part of the job. It sounds to me like the Roughneck version makes a lot of sense for you since you travel gravel roads a lot. If you were just doing normal highway...

  • Which AC Unit From Coleman Is Good For Boondocking With Generator?
Hey Steve, that’s exactly the right way to think about it. If your RV is ducted and your old system cooled reasonably well most of the time, I’d probably go with the Signature Mach 3 # CM83RR instead of automatically jumping to a 15K unit. If your current AC was always struggling, then the Signature Mach 15 # CM52RR becomes the better recommendation. But if you’re mainly trying to make a smart full-system replacement, the Mach 3 may be the better fit for how you camp since it draws about...

  • How Do I Know If My RV Has Ducted Or Ductless Air Conditioner System? Which New Coleman Unit Fits?
Hey Jared, that’s a really smart question because “ducted” and “ductless” gets tossed around a lot. In plain English, ducted means the AC feeds cooled air into ceiling ductwork that carries that air to vents throughout the RV. Ductless means the air blows right out of the inside ceiling assembly at the AC itself instead of traveling through ceiling ducts. A quick check is to look around your ceiling. Since you said you have several vents throughout the RV ceiling, you’re ducted. If there...

  • Do New Coleman Mach AC Units For RVs Blow Air Through The Duct Vents?
Hey Kevin, these Coleman systems are for ducted RV units only, so the first thing to check is whether your current setup sends air through ceiling ducts and vents throughout the RV. If you’ve got multiple ceiling vents away from the AC opening, that’s usually your answer. If the air just comes straight out of the inside ceiling assembly at the unit and nowhere else, then that would be a ductless setup instead. Assuming yours is ducted, the nice part is that these Coleman-Mach ducted systems...
