Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Power Watchdog 50 amp hardwired surge protector with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and emergency shutdown. Now this is a hardwired surge protector that's gonna give you onboard protection from power surges and low voltage. Basically, it'll disconnect the power when your voltage is low to keep your appliances safe. As we mentioned, it offers built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to help monitor your system from anywhere around the world via a smartphone app. The 50 amp surge protector prevents damage to your RV from power spikes and sustained high or low voltage, does offer a four-second startup delay that'll get you up and running faster than other brands.

That delay makes sure your power is safe to use before flowing normally. And it does offer an audible click that'll tell you the surge protector is on. Now, on the inside of this unit, there is a surge protection module that'll offer 4,600 joules of protection in case of a lightning strike. And what's nice about it's that module can be replaced once it wears out, so there's no need to have to replace your whole entire unit. You can just purchase the module separately, and it's pretty easy to replace.

The emergency power off will cut the connection in the event of an error to protect electronics and appliances. Basically, it's gonna shut down if the current drops below 104 volts or will raise above 132 volts. It will also cut the power for an open ground, an open neutral, reverse polarity, open circuit, or even miswired connections. It automatically turns back on once the power is stable for 90 seconds. Also, they offer a free smartphone app for your iOS or Android, connects via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to monitor your system.

And the way you pair it to this, right here is a QR code, so you just scan that, quickly pair using this code right on the front of the device. Now this does read volts, amps, and watts in real time to keep an eye on your power draw, and it'll give you a push notifications when the voltage is outside of acceptable customizable ranges. I even want to zoom in closer so you can see the front we're talking about. Has the easy-to-see indicators that'll show you if there's a problem, what the problem is. This is gonna illuminate white if your power is steady, and then it's gonna illuminate red if there's an error. So that right of way will be able to tell you. And also the error code, there's a digital display right here. The error code can be compared to the legend right here that's on the side. So actually, if you look at the side here, it might be tough to see, but you'll see they have a legend that'll tell you whatever error code is showing. It'll tell you what the problem is. And as we mentioned, there's the QR code we talked about scanning to pair it up to your smartphone or smart pad tablet. Now this is a hardwired installation inside your RV. It does come with the mounting brackets and the hardware for installation, removes the extra steps of having to use a portable unit at a park power pedestal, and it'll protect the unit from the elements. A few specs on this. Length of it, it's about 11 inches long, about six inches wide. If you add the mounting tabs on, it's about seven inches wide. And then the depth is about four inches deep.
