Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to help start it. And the electric heat strip (ADV34QR) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

I’ve had this on my roof for less than a week and it is not blown cold air. It is 77° in My trailer at night and it is only 70° outside. I am very frustrated with this. I am very frustrated because it worked well, at first.

Unit arrived quickly. Slight damage to the base but not enough to affect the installation. The 6 pin connector had male pins that did not mate with the male pins in the crossover cable as I was replacing a older Advent AD150 that replaced a Cokeman Mach. Had to splice the old 6 pin into new unit to make it work.
Unit is very load. Cools fine

I’m sorry to hear the fit didn’t work out as expected. We definitely want to make sure you get the right solution for your RV. Can you share a bit more about what happened during the install? For example, what specifically didn’t line up or prevent it from fitting properly? Also, what year, make, and model is your RV? Which AC are you replacing?
You sale the unit but I have to upgrade
It seems to be working fine. Delivery was not good. Left at a neighbour’s residence and left standing on end, despite clear instructions on the box which way is up.
Shipped quickly and works great. Nice replacement for existing unit and good price point.
Was able to install within 2 hours of delivery. Works great. Only issue was the wrong electrical connector pins were in put in the 6-pin connector. It was the right male 6-pin connector but female connector pins were put in it. Had to splice the 6-pin connector from the old unit on to hook it up but it works, blows cold, and is quiet.
Nice unit, fast shipping. Not installed yet, so no word beyond that. The 13,500 we bought has been installed and is doing a great job beating back the heat here. We expect this one to do even better. btw, we have several RVs and so we will be updating more A/Cs in the future.
This unit went in easy as a replacement unit. With the associated interior parts all the parts were there.
The unit mount well very easy to install. Had trouble with thermostat, manufacturer was great to deal with took three thermostats to get one that worked like it should.

The AC works fine so far. But it is not plug and play! The end that plugs into the control box has female ends, so does the control box. It needs to have male connectors in the plug. I had to pay an AC company $[XX] to take off my old plug and replace it. You think you are saving money with this. NOT!! I would have went with one more expensive not to have to go a day without AC until I had the right plug replaced!!!!!

Fast shipping! I installed this unit for a customer and they are very pleased. It started pulling humidity out quickly and temperature started to go down at a decent rate.
Needed a male connector off of the air conditioner was a female connector of the air conditioner had to swap off old air conditioner
Easy to install but need a new thermostat setup to be compatible with r32 freon
