Looking to replace a Dometic single zone A/C roof air. Will the Advent ADV86SR work both A/C and Heater? Need some help on which unit to get. Thanks

Hi John; the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ADV86SR is just the AC unit. Since everything has switched to the new R32 refrigerant you will need a complete replacement using the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV92SR. This includes the air distribution box and thermostat which will be compatible with your furnace.

I have a 2012 Heartland Bighorn. It has a Dometic single zone roof unit. My Tstat has only 3 wires. 12v, ground and a signal wire. 3 total. Seems like I will have to do some wire hunting in the wall to make the stat work. Not sure how as of 9/24/25. I have looked at the schematic and it seems straight forward on how to make it work. There is a bell wire that I can use that is installed in the ceiling going from the old stat to the roof unit. I will keep you posted on the progress. The new unit will arrive soon. Will take pictures for future reference.
