Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features stainless-steel 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with two ball mounts for your three-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this 180 hitch is gonna slide into your three-inch receiver and it's going to give you a two inch ball and a 2 5/16 inch ball, and this is a double-sided tow ball, making switching tow balls very easy, and the ball is stainless steel. And this is going to give you, at this orientation here, a maximum drop of 10 inches, and then when you flip this shank over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of 11 inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch, so this is going to give you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now, when you're towing with your 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing capacity of 21,000 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's gonna be 8,000 pounds, and this has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds.
And this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you that superior strength and durability. The solid block construction is going to give you greater strength than some hollow steel options that are out there, but this is going to maintain a light weight. This is obviously gonna be rust-proof for a clean finish that's going to stand up to the test of time. If you're gonna be towing around water like a boat trailer or something like that, this is really gonna be a great option for you to consider. It's durable, it's rugged, it's gonna hold up really well.
As I mentioned, the balls are stainless steel, and this does feature a dual-pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting this very easy. So, you're gonna be able to adjust the height and switch the ball sizes without any problem. This does include this black rubber cover that's gonna protect that keyway there. And so you are gonna get four keys and these keys are keyed alike, so the idea is you can use one key for the dual-pin slider lock and also for the hitch-pin lock, which we'll talk about momentarily. But lemme go ahead and stick the key in here, give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to remove our pins.
And so the pins and the housing here are aluminum, and then our lock is a plated steel. So, again, very durable. It's gonna hold up well against corrosion. So, look how easy this is going to be to adjust the height here. It's gonna slide up and down very easily, and then I'm using my two inch ball right now.
Let me swap this over to my 2 5/16 inch hitch ball. And there we go, it's just that simple. And then what I'm going to do, just turn this around here and then replace the pins. So, let me just tilt this here real quick so I can see. Line up the holes, then that's how easy this is going to be. I'm really impressed with just how smooth everything operates. As you can see, you're not going to be struggling at the back of your truck trying to get that perfect height adjustment or the tow ball size that you are going to need. So, I mentioned that this does include this locking hitch pin, and I'm just gonna go ahead and it has this cover here to protect the keyway to slide the key in here, and give it a turn, that's gonna allow me to unlock it. Now, what I really like about this lock is you do not need the key inserted into the head to lock this back up, so I went ahead and turned this back to the locked position and removed the key. So, when I slid this into my three-inch receiver and I'm ready to lock this up, just gonna slide that pin through, and then as you can hear, it is locked into place without the key. So, very convenient, really happy for that option there. So, lemme give you some measurements here just so you have a good idea of the size and the clearance. So, measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting at about 8 1/2 inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole, it's gonna be about 9 5/8 inches, and then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This is V5 and J684-certified. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
