Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features stainless-steel 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your three-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this 180 hitch is going to slide into your three-inch receiver and it's going to give you a two-inch and 2 5/16 inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball and it's gonna make switching tow ball sizes very easy for you. And this is going to give you, in this orientation right here, a maximum drop of eight inches. And then when you flip this shank over, you'll get a maximum rise of nine inches. You'll have an incremental adjustment of one inch, giving you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle.
Now, the gross towing weight when you're using the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball is going to be 21,000 pounds. The two-inch ball is 8,000 pounds. This has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. And this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminium, giving you superior strength and durability. The solid block construction's going to give you greater strength and some hollow steel options while also maintaining a lightweight.
So this is obviously gonna be rust-proof or a clean finish that's going to stand the test of time. This is going to be ideal for towing trailers that you use around the water such as your boat trailer, things like that. So very durable, very long lasting. It's gonna hold up really well for you. I mentioned that the hitch balls are stainless steel, so they're gonna hold up well against corrosion as well.
So let me go ahead and show you just how easy this is going to be to adjust. You are going to get four keys and the keys are to operate the dual pin slider lock and then the hitch pin lock, which we'll talk about momentarily. But the idea is, you just need one of those four keys to operate everything here. So that's a nice touch. I'm gonna remove this black cover here that protects that keyway.
And then I'm gonna slide our key in, give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily remove the dual pins here. So the pins and the housing are constructed of aluminium and then the lock here is plated steel. So this is gonna be durable, hold up well for you, and resist corrosion. So as you can see, this is going to slide up and down very easily. And then when you want to change the ball, for instance, I'm using the two-inch ball, I'm gonna go ahead and change this over to the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball. It's gonna be that simple. So I'm very pleased with just how smoothly everything operates here. You're not to be struggling at the back of your vehicle to change the ball size or to change the height adjustment. So I got my dual pin slider back into position, it's secure. Gonna replace the cover, and we're gonna be good to go. Now, this hitch pin lock is of course included. It does have a little cap here that's gonna protect that keyway. And I'm gonna insert the key, give it a turn that's going to allow me to easily unlock this. Now, a feature that I really like about this lock is, I'm gonna go ahead and turn that back to the lock position and remove the key and replace my cap here. What I really like about this is, you don't need the key inserted to lock this back up. So this is gonna be very easy. Once you have this in your trailer hitch receiver and you slide that pin through, all you have to do is push that together and then you're locked into place. So very easy to use. So let me go ahead and give you some measurements before we wrap up our time together. Measuring from the center of the hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting about 8.5 inches. Moving to the second hitch pin hole on center, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This is V5 and J684 certified. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
