Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a chrome plated 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform, so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at the Weigh Safe 180 hitch two ball combo mount for your three inch shank hitches. It's rated at 21,000 pounds, it has nice shiny chrome balls, and it has a max drop of 10 inches with a max rise of 11 inches. Now the 2 5/16 inch ball is rated at 21,000 pounds capacity, while the two inch ball is rated at 8,000 pounds capacity. So again, you could simply flip this over, have it in the rise position as needed, or the drop, whatever you prefer.
Now the good thing with adjustable ball mounts is that you can adjust the height to tow different heights on the same vehicle, but different height trailers, and the two different ball sizes allows you to tow multiple trailers with different coupler sizes on them as well. Now some quick dimensions from the center of the ball back to the center of this first pin is 8 1/2 inches. And back to the second pin, center to center is 9 5/8 inches. From the back of the shank to the closest center of that pin is 1 7/8 inches, and it's three inches from the back of the shank to the center of that other pin hole. Now these hitch pin holes are 5/8 inch thick.
There is no hitch pin or lock included for this part. You would need to purchase that separately if you don't already have one. But you do get a nice rubberized cover here on this lockable pin, it's a two-pronged pin. You get two pairs of tube keys. You simply unlock that.
Let's say I wanna switch from the 2 5/16 ball and I wanna tow a trailer that has a two inch coupler. Well, I just simply unlock, pull the pin out, take the head assembly off, rotate it that 180 degrees, place it back on, now my pin lock is on the other side and I just simply line up the holes, lock it back in place, and just like that, 10, 15 seconds later, I'm now ready to tow a two-inch coupler trailer. So again folks, everything here on the main shank is aluminum construction solid from one piece, and the head assembly here minus the ball, is all solid aluminum. So that's a 6061-T6 billet aluminum shank and mounting platform. Super lightweight but super strong, and the balls are hardened steel with a nice chrome plating over them.
So what's that mean Well, everything here is rust-proof, corrosion-resistant. You're not gonna worry about it tarnishing over time or anything like that. So very elegant design from Weigh Safe. I'm pretty impressed with it. We do carry these in different shank sizes and heights as well. So if you need something a little different, just check out those other products here at etrailer.com as well. Well folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look today at the Weigh Safe 180. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.

Tow up to 8,000 lbs with the 2" ball or up to 21,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball. This isn't the cheapest hitch on the market, but it is certainly high quality. The carrier slides as it should as does the ball. The locks for the receiver and the carrier are keyed the same and they give you 4 keys. I personally like the double pinned carrier instead of a single pin as some of the others do. I have only had it a week but, I'm impressed so far.
