Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform, so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers. A dual-sided hitch ball with a 1-7/8" and a 2" hitch ball (TB03 - sold separately) is also available.
This ball mount's convenient stowable design keeps the ball mount platform out of your way when you're not towing. To stow the ball mount platform, simply pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Place the ball mount platform on the backside of the shank facing your vehicle. Reinsert the dual pins to attach the platform to the shank. The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe Aluminum Adjustable Ball Mount, rated for 12,500 pounds with a six inch drop and seven inch rise. Basically, what this is gonna do for you, this is gonna work for that person that has assortment of different types of trailers they're pulling, or trailers or campers. And this is gonna give you that adjustability to get to that flat ride, as far as where your coupler is gonna meet your ball mount. So let's take a closer look at our ball mount and see what's special about it. What makes this special is the fact that you can actually flip this over 180 degrees, just like the name suggests. Switching from your two inch ball to your two and five 16ths.
You actually have a lockable pin that's gonna allow you to secure your ball mount into position. Now materials are T6 6061 billet aluminum. So that is rust proof, and it's gonna give you a long life of service on the back of your truck. 'Cause basically, this is gonna be a life of abuse for a ball mount. As far as your capacities, you have a two on five 16ths ball that's chrome that's rated for 12,500 pounds.
Your two inch ball is rated for 8,000 pounds, and your overall tongue weight is right at 1,500. You can make adjustments as far as with the holes for your drop in one inch increments. So if you have it in the six inch drop or the seven inch rise, it's gonna work however you need it to. Out of the box, you're gonna receive a lock for the ball mount, but you don't get a lock core pin for your receiver. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to add on one of these etrailer hitch ball mount locks and it'll help you keep your ball mount secured.
As far as your pinhole positioning to the center of your ball mount, your closest hole is eight and three quarter inches. The shank itself is solid, like again, it's solid T6 billet aluminum. And that's gonna be very sturdy, and mostly what you're picking up is gonna be the fact that it's really lightweight compared to a steel hitch in the same capability. So it's gonna make it easier for you to handle, but you're not sacrificing any strength. So now we're gonna put it in the rise position.
And we'll just take a look and see if we're gonna make contact with our tailgate. In most cases, you're not gonna have any issues in the rise position, as far as having your ball mount to the lowest, but that will vary from vehicle to vehicle. I have a F-150 here that we're using for our demonstration, so it'll just give you an idea as far as what it looks like with your tailgate. Now Weigh Safe does a really good job of using solid materials that are gonna hold up for you, as it puts up with the life of abuse as being a towing accessory. In general, Weigh Safe is gonna give you quality products across the board. They're one of the brands I like a lot. They're made here in the US so that's helpful as well for all of us. This isn't the cheapest hitch on the market, but it is certainly high quality. The carrier slides as it should as does the ball. The locks for the receiver and the carrier are keyed the same and they give you 4 keys. I personally like the double pinned carrier instead of a single pin as some of the others do. I have only had it a week but, I'm impressed so far.
