Is Rear Fascia Trimming Required to Install Hitch on 2021 Volvo XC 40

Question:
Hello, Im seeking a trailer hitch for my 2021 Volvo XC40. For all options, I see that Fascia trimming is required. This is unfamiliar to me. How can I confirm that my vehicle meets the requirement? Many thanks,

Due to the design of your 2021 Volvo XC40 to install a trailer hitch there is some minor fascia trimming needed to install a hitch like our very popular Stealth part # SH77FR. This is a very standard step needed for installing a hitch on a vehicle like yours. For towing, you would also need the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - 2" Ball # SH36FR.
