Hi, I’m told by a local installer here is San Francisco that the Curt 11367 hitch is the product i need for my car. I want to use a lightweight platform style Sherpa Bike rack for 2 bikes with the hitch. Is my information correct? And do I need the added stabilizing straps?

The Kuat Sherpa rack, such as the #SH12B , includes straps on both the front and rear wheel cradles, which keeps them stable while they rest on the platform.
