When you’re towing a fifth wheel with a short bed, turning clearance can be tight. This adapter gives you an extra 8" of offset between your trailer and your truck, helping reduce the chance of contact during turns. It’s designed for use with standard 2-5/16" gooseneck hitch balls and gives that bit of breathing room that makes maneuvering less stressful.
If you already have a gooseneck setup, this adapter lets you tow your fifth-wheel trailer without adding a bulky hitch in the bed. It converts a fifth-wheel king pin to a gooseneck coupler and has the strength to handle up to 24,000 lbs gross towing weight and 6,000 lbs tongue weight. The design bolts over the king pin for a secure, solid connection that’s V-19 certified for safety.
Truck and trailer setups vary, so being able to fine-tune height is key. This adapter offers 3" of vertical adjustment, letting you set it anywhere between 11-3/4" (collapsed) and 14-3/4" (extended) from the bottom of the king pin plate to the top of the hitch ball. That flexibility helps keep your rig level while maintaining the safe 5"-6" clearance over your bed rails.
Hooking up is easier thanks to the remote coupler release. You can latch or unlatch while standing beside your truck instead of climbing into the bed. The mechanism uses an internal steel plate and roll pin to secure the coupler on the ball—simple, mechanical, and reliable.
Installation takes less than an hour with basic tools. The threaded collar tightens around the king pin and secures with four Grade-8 bolts through the pin box. Hardware comes included, and if you want an easier fit, Andersen’s optional slide hammer (AM3103) helps pull things together smoothly.

I had to spray some WD-40 inside the coupler as it was slightly binding up, after that, it operated buttery smooth once again. This has worked out very well with our 30 fifth wheel trailer. I have pulled doubles as well many times this year out camping and no issues. I like this setup more than a traditional bulky hitch system in the bed of the truck!

Works great, for what I need. I do prefer the fifth wheel hitch, but did not want to put the rails in my truck for that hitch. I do have to use the backup balls and my camera for the goose neck hitch but its not too bad.
