Hey Bryan, welcome back. For a professional install the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit item # e66GV takes right at 3 hours. For a DIY install closer to 6 hours depending on experience level and access to a lift. Most of the front end and some of the side trim has to be completely removed and reinstalled so it takes awhile to get all of those fasteners removed.
The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit item # e66GV is confirmed to fit the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I attached a picture below that will show you what it's going to look like installed.
Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar item # e34ZR
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - item # RM-15267
Charge Line - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25 or the Demco item # DM66VR but only if you go with one of their flat tow braking systems.
Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes. You will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751490 to ensure that your supplemental braking system is properly positioned and working effectively. This kit activates your RV's monitoring system to alert you when the brakes of your towed car are being applied.
What kind of motorhome is being used to flat tow the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
