Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler Head. Now, this cast steel coupler head is designed to be welded to a three inch or four inch diameter tubing to create a heavy-duty gooseneck coupler with fast and easy latching action. It is self latching, so you would just lower the coupler onto the gooseneck ball, and the coupler will self latch once it hits the bottom of the ball. Now, when installing, you should place the flat side toward your trailer, and the handle should be on the driver's side. The handle on the driver's side is gonna make it easier for the driver to operate instead of making someone have to go all around the truck or trailer to use that handle. Again, the cast steel construction is strong and durable, and it does have a built in grease zerk to keep everything greased and lubricated.
Let me give you some measurements. First off, the diameter of the bump here on the outside of the coupler head, this diameter is going to be three inches, and then looking at the overall depth, we are sitting right at about five inches all together, so about five inches on that depth, and then measuring the width, I'm gonna include the hardware for our handle, we're sitting a little over six inches, probably right at about 6 1/8 inches on that width, and then looking at the handle length, and I'm gonna be measuring from the spring to the end of that handle, we're sitting right at, let me line that up a little better for you, we're sitting right at six inches on that handle length. And then again, this is going to work for a 2 5/16 inch ball. So again, a 2 5/16 inch ball. This has a maximum capacity of 24,000 pounds.
By the way, I didn't mention this, but the overall height is gonna be sitting right at about three inches. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today at this gooseneck coupler head. I hope it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
Since I put these hitches on my trailers I have not once crawled up on the side of the truck to latch the hitch. Now when my friends see them they ask where can I get one. I have built several more for friends. Greatest invention ever.
We have had this coupler for a year now and we are thrilled with it. It’s easy to hitch and unhitch.
Excellent product quality. It makes latching and unlatching much easier and no need to get in or "hang" over the bed to latch/unlatch. Very pleased.
We have ordered dozens of these for our company vehicles and have never had a problem. The delivery time has been wonderful as well.
I had this coupler installed on my stock trailer. It’s so nice not having to climb up and down off my flatbed pickup to hook up and disconnect.
Absolutely love this hitch latches on its own and ran a cable and handle on the gooseneck to unlatch without getting in the box of the pickup. Absolutely great
Coupler is awesome, super stoked I don’t have to climb up in my bed to unhitch.
Your people stayed in touch through email and due to supply issues assisted in making a substitution and followed up with me. Thank you and I will do business with you again!

5th wheel.

What rod did you use to weld it in?
