Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Taylor Made gas strut for your boat hatches. This gas strap is going to replace a worn out or damaged strut on your boat's hatch. It is going to help extend, make it very easy to lift your hatch lid. It's also going to help to make sure that your lid is closing gently.
It's not going to slam down. It's going to compress to make that a nice smooth close. This will mount onto the studs on the inside of your boat's hatch. It's going to work with your 10 millimeter ball socket studs, so on each end there. This is made of heat-treated steel, so it's going to be very durable and it should hold up and do a good job for a nice long time.It does also have a corrosion-resistant coating that won't rust.
So even if you're in those saltwater environments, it's going to hold up well and do a good job for you. Our total length from our socket to our socket is right at 17 inches. This does compress with a force of 80 pounds. You are going to just get the one strut, so if you we're to need two for your hatch, you could just order two of the same ones. That's going to complete our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
