Question:

What is the best carrier to use with this front mount trailer hitch for 2 Ariel Rider M-Class mini e-bikes? Each bike weighs 54 lbs, has 20inch tires and 42inch wheelbase. Looking to safely carry these bikes in front mounted trailer hitch on 2020 7.3 liter Godzilla Ford F-250 .

Hey David,

For your Ariel Rider M-class mini e-bikes I recommend the Benton # B54FR. This bike rack has a unique design that allows it to mount to either the wheels or the frame and can accommodate different frame styles so an adapter won't be needed. With the baskets and front/rear fenders you'll need to mount to the frame of the bikes to avoid damaging them. It can fit wheelbases up to 48", has a 55lb per bike capacity, can fit up to 29" diameter wheels, and the trays can fit tires up to 4" wide. The shank of this bike rack also folds up to take up less storage and be a bit less awkward to walk around with.

This rack also has another 2-bike add-on # B34FR in the event you have to haul more bikes in the future so it's going to give you most versatility compared to other racks at a great price point.

Thanks Kevin. I was considering the Thule EasyFold XT #TH903202, but it's twice the money, so this is very helpful!

@DavidP The Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 would also be a great option and would come with a ramp to help load and unload the bikes. If you find that the bikes block your headlights then we also offer ditch lights that would sit above them to provide more light.
