Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I received the product and the packaging was tore all to pieces and the name logo and product rating stickers were torn half way off.
I am very satisfied with the way the hitch fits and looks on the front of my dodge ram.
I installed it at home in my garage by myself and it took about six hours. I could not have fitted it into position without a hydraulic jack to lift and support it. Two people would make it easier.
2WD trucks no ground clearenceI've always been a big fan of front mounted hitches. I've had them on all the Trucks I've owned. So, after getting an '05 2500 Dodge I bought this front hitch for it. If you have a 2WD truck that is not lifted (stock like mine) don't buy this hitch!... It scraps the ground on almost anything. My truck now has the ground clearance of a Honda Civic!
I purchased the Draw-Tite front mount hitch for my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually and could not be more pleased with the quality of the product, fit and finish. The documentation provided along with the video on the etrailer.com web site provided the insight to install the hitch with confidence. It is exactly what I wanted and I did not have to trim the air dam which was a plus. Once again etrailer has provided exactly what I needed for my vehicle and rv.
I ordered a front-hitch from Etrailer online. From the first moment of the purchase, customer service from Etrailer provided very prompt status of the shipment and continuous hand-holding via email from individuals who actually signed their names. They followed up on their shipment even after delivery.
The only negative with this particular shipment was the packaging of the product. It's a long piece of equipment, and it was just thrown in a rather large box, about 4 times too big for it. It was not secured by any packing materials to retard movement. The hitch therefore poked holes here and there in the box as a result of movement. Just some crumpled paper would have helped.
It was a Friday shipment, and maybe that explains the quick packaging method.
One very small bit of the powdercoat chipped away on a corner (likely in shipping), but it will live just fine. It is after all, a trailer hitch. It will receive worse treatment while in use on the truck when put into use.
I would not hesitate to use Etrailer again. I am a repeat customer and will buy from them in the future.

Not too hardI am 65 and I installed the reciever myself, after viewing the video about 50 times. I held the bumper in place with tie wire and supported the reciever with a floor jack. If you have a drill and a couple bitts, it aint bad. The reciever is great but it does seem to run down hill a bit.
The instructions were good but could be printed larger for those of us with old eyes. The YouTube video was excellent and gave me the confidence to perform the installation myself. This front hitch is just what I needed to use for a canoe carrier over the front of my truck. Thank you.

Will this fit a 2008 3500 Dully 4 wheel drive?

No complaints front hitch works as advertised on our 3rd gen Ram 3500.

Awesome setup, Jeff! Were you out west for this trip? Looks like a great spot.
Arrived on time, did not mount it for six months owing to an injury on my hand, once mounted, was not hard to mount, but it rides lower than what I had seen on videos, it tends to scrape when going in and out of drive ways or uneven pavement.
Easy to install, took me about two hours. Drilling the 1 1/4 in hole was the hardest part of the whole install. Uses a steel cutting hole saw with carbide cutters.
Appears to be a solid, well made product. Had a slight bend to one of the mounting brackets that looked to have occurred during shipping, easily corrected. All the hardware was included and appears to be sufficiently sized. Included instructions were clear and well written.
The product was actually delivered ahead of scheduled date and the total price was reasonable. Well satisfied thus far.

Operates just like I hoped it would. The finish has not rusted or faded except spots where there is heavy contact such as inside the receiver. The hardware shows no signs of rust or corrosion and remains bright. No surprises with the assembly contacting things on the ground or parking curbs. No problems with routine maintenance such as oil changes and greasing.

It was a bit harder to put on than they show in the video. Did it by myself, everything fit perfect SO OWSOME! I would recommend anybody. Truck or car should add one. Very convenient and can be use for many different purposes.the rack on the back, I now put in the front with generator gas tools and it works as steps. So now I can tow trailer, or jet ski. Having that front hitch is so cool. You could even attach a car whinch in the receiver.
This receiver hitch fit perfectly on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500! It is being used to carry a 12,000lb Badland’s Winch! After several uses, it is still standing up to any challenge it faces!
Got this on my 2006 2500 Ram. I did avoid drilling the holes over 1 inch (suggested in the directions) by loosening the bumper bolts and prying out some brackets in the frame ends temporarily (just to get the bolts fished thru). I pushed the brackets back in after getting the bolts in place (and believe the bumper bolts will squeeze them to hold them), but I did bend some tabs that I can't get back to original.
My bumper bolts on the driver side wouldn't go in far enough (hitting a cooler) to be totally flush for a completely vertical lift into place, so I had to swing it up there first, then do the passenger side.
The first pair of bolt fishing went good, but then I had trouble getting the wires off the bolts (they were tight enough that the more I tried to twist them off, the tighter they gripped it). So instead of them coming off like twisting a nut off, I ended up peeling them off (with the bolts staying stationary and my peeling the wire around them). That slightly bent the wires so they were slightly bigger than the threads and while fishing the second set, the wire didn't stay in the threads and jammed the bolt in the hole a bit (but I still got them in place). So watch how you treat the fishing wires until done.
I already have a winch mounted on a hitch bracket, but may use this for more things besides that.
The installation was very straightforward using jack stands and a floor jack. Rather than drill the large hole in the frame per the instructions, I used a cutting torch and elongated an existing hole in the frame so the washer and bolt would just sneak through.
The receiver sits just below the front "air dam" below the bumper. On a 4x4 this is no problem. Check your clearance on a 4x2, you'll lose about three inches of clearance below the air dam.
I'm very pleased with the fit and finish of the hitch.
I have an 06 Dodge Ram Mega and product installation was really easy to do. Though I am a savvy "project guy", this was something I had never done before, and good for me as I was able to get a new drill out of the deal from the wife. With the existing upper bolts (18mm) incorporated in the installation, it is a great way to hold the receiver frame in place while drilling the four half-inch holes in the lower truck frame. I gave the two bolts a squirt of never seize overnight and they came off using my long, half-inch drive breaker with an 18 mm socket. With the two bolts off, I added the spacer and hung one side. On the other side, I used a pry bar on the opposite side of the frame (where the two bolts are connected with a flexible strip) to suck the bolt in (after putting on the spacer) long enough to push it up into place. This saved me from having to loosen all four nuts. Next, I used a $44.00 "Unibit" to enlarge the existing holes in the frame to pass the hardware through. After that, I drilled the (4) half-inch holes with the frame in place, passed the hardware through, and tightened everything with the last two nuts being the upper, existing ones (after the receiver was tight to the bottom of the truck frame with (4) bolts). I am certain this new receiver will give me options for carrying my generator, dirt bike, or what have you! Can't wait to get on the road!
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the acces holes they want you to drill in your frame. I didn't drill them, I used a fish tape and pulled thru. Be aware tho some frames have mounting boss supports thru the inside of frame the bolts will get hung up on.
Other then that hitch works great. Two thumbs up.
I got the hitch for a 2004 dodge 2500. I put it on the front of the truck to haul a motorcycle. It works great and all you can see is the hitch opening. Works great.
It wasn't fun to install by myself, but managed to do it in a few hours. Worked out great so far, I've hauled motorcycles on hitch carrier for about 2k miles so far and had no problems.
Great Product and great price
Package was delivered today and installed easily with instructions in 30 minutes
Directions were exactly what needed to be done, only set back was needing to drill a 1 1/4 inch hole, used a torch because I didn’t have a drill bit big enough, but it needed to be done so not complaining
I received the Erickson Big Bed Load Extender and Draw-Tite Front Mount quickly the people at etrailer kept me in the loop when there was a chance that the Front Mount may be late because the manufacturer had not sent stock. This did not become and issue but they called me ASAP when they knew they did not have stock. Nice Service!!!!!!!!!!!
I do have a suggestion when installing the Draw-Tite Hitch. The directions say to drill or cut a 1 1/4" access hole in the side of the frame rail to have access when installing the 1/2 in bolts and plate. This is not necessary in my 2006 Dodge 2500 truck. Make a 12" snake out of a piece of copper wire from some Romex. Make a loop in the end and after drilling the 1/2" lower mounting holes in the frame, snake the wire thru the 1/2" hole to the front of the frame rail. Attach the wire that is in the kit to the snake wire and pull it thru the front of the rail to the 1/2 in drilled holes.
This procedure makes the installation much easier, saves time and DYI'ers do not have special tools to drill such a large hole.
Hope this tip helps.

Have been using product to carry Kayaks on front of my truck with a 5th wheel hooked to the back. Nice setup
Very high quality receiver. I would recommend this unit. As with most after market parts a small amount of fab work is required for a clean installation. I am planning on hauling bikes on the front of my 1Ton Dodge Ram with my camper on the back. As strong as this unit appears I would not hesitate to put my 400CC motorcycle on the front also.

After a year of hauling bikes, motorcycles and other racks I could not be happier with this product. Yes it does sit a little lower than not having a receiver, I have scraped it a few time. My DRZ400 rides fine and I am not worried it will bend or fall off. I have made over a dozen trips using this hitch.
Very fast shipping and simple install, I used 3/8 self threading bolts on the underside so I didn't have to drill the access holes to use the included hardware. I'm only using it for a bike rack so it's more than adequate
