There's a few differences.
• The Curt # C31017 is manufactured in the US, while the Draw-Tite # 65046 is manufactured in Mexico.
• When installed, the Curt hitch will sit higher on the vehicle for more ground clearance. The underside of the
receiver tube will sit even with the bottom of the fascia under the bumper. The fascia will need to be notched so
the receiver can pass through it. Unless you're planning on carrying something very heavy on the front of the
truck like a generator weighing more than 350 lbs, you'll probably be happier with the greater ground clearance
provided by the Curt front mounted receiver.
• The Draw-Tite hitch sits lower so that the top of the receiver tube will sit up against the underside of the fascia
under the bumper. You'll lose about 2-1/2 to 3 inches of ground clearance.
• The Draw-Tite has a higher 5000 lb pulling capacity and a higher 500 lb vertical load limit which means you can
carrier heavier items. The Curt has a 3500 lb pulling capacity and a 350 lb vertical load limit.
I've linked to installation instructions for both hitches for you to check out.

i watched the install of the Curt model and they say they only trim 3/4" into the fascia... and above you save you lose about 2-1/2 to 3 inches of ground clearance.... if the receiver is horizontal and the draw-tite rests against the fascia and the curt needs to trim the fascia on 3/4" i'm not sure how you get the 2-1/2 to 3 inches.... Does the draw-tite sit lower that the fascia and not sit against the fascia? Thanks
