Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie

Question:

I e-mailed last week on what hitch I needed for my 2006 mega cab. I was told that the C31017 was the one I needed. While looking at that page I scrolled down and was told that the C31017 was not the model and the correct one was the DT 65046. Could you give me the correct information. It is a Laramie model. Thanks

Curt hitch # C31017 is not listed as a fit for the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie models. The original answer you received stated that it could fit but you would have to grind down the tow hook brackets some to get the hitch to fit (as one customer reported). So it can fit if you are willing to do that.

The Draw-Tite hitch on the other hand, # 65046, is designed to fit all models of the 2006 Ram 3500 without any special requirements. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
