Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.

This front hitch is great! I purchased it to easily mount and remove a fishing rod holder and cooler rack, rather than mounting it to the bumper. It fits my 1997 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. Install was very easy, but you do need to have the right tools for the job. The instructions were very clear and there is a [online video] from Curt Manufacturing that was easy to follow as well. Hitch is very high quality and sturdy. Completely enjoyed working with etrailer as well. Great prices and I couldn’t believe how fast they got my order shipped after my order was placed. Looking forward to many years enjoyment from this hitch and will definitely shop etrailer again!

Fit is exact, excellent product. A over sized drill bit or step bit recommended for making access holes larger.

Hi. I installed my hitch with no hitches other than I'm 68 and movin kinda slow. I have installed two hitches and they are straight forward. I definitely read the instructions.

2002 Jeep TJ

I installed the Curt front hitch on my 2002 Jeep TJ in preparation for mounting a snow plow. I also have a class III 9,000 lb receiver hitch winch that I will mount to the hitch. I choose his hitch type because I needed the receiver below the bumper (plow attachment height requirement), I currently have a brush guard above bumper and this hitch type appeared to be “heavy duty” with good online reviews. I also have an OME 2.5” heavy load lift kit on the Jeep.

The hitch was delivered within four business days and I had it installed in an hour, it’s that easy. I had previously viewed the Curt MFG installlation video, just a few steps, so I had tools ready. I positioned the hitch using a floor jack to mark the two frame holes that needed to be drilled. I enlarged the two existing frame holes, to feed the carriage bolts through, with a step drill bit. The fishwire to feed the carriage bolt and square hole spacer through the frame was the “cool” part and key to reduce install time. My wife helped with final hitch position lift and once flange nuts torqued I was really for testing snow plow.

The quality and fit of this hitch is exceptional. The mounting hardware is good quality too, grade 8 yellow tinted nuts and bolts. The height of the receiver is 15” (to bottom of square tubing) with OME lift kit. The snow plow fit and operated perfectly. Very pleased with Curt hitch and eTrailer purchase.

2000 Jeep Wrangler

Great product. Great job on packing, box was beat up and full of holes but all hardware was taped to the receiver so I was able to install the receiver instead of calling to get all the hardware replaced. This is my third product from and I am 110% happy with product and service.

Still looks new and works great. No issues

2006 Jeep Wrangler

The product was top quality. Easy to install (once we removed an old towing hitch). We used it to mount a snow blade of a 2006 Jeep Wrangler and it worked beautifully.

2004 Jeep TJ

Sturdy built receiver. Requires enlarging 4 existing holes in frame and drilling 2 new holes. You will need a grinding stone that fits in the existing holes and a 9/16 drill bit for the new holes. Fairly straightforward installation.

2005 Jeep TJ

It is hands down the nicest part of my 2005 TJ. fast delivery. I was worried it couldn't handle my snow plow. I think the plow will break before the receiver

2004 Jeep TJ

Easy to install. Great price. Outstanding quality. And superior customer service from Mighty fine. Mighty fine!

Product works like it should.

1997 Jeep TJ

Real easy install. Complete in 45 mins! Just read the instructions.

Very well built, easy installation with clear instructions and good hardware.

I'm very happy with this hitch. It fit on my 2002 Tj perfectly with the front tubular bumper with no modifications.

This hitch is excellent! it fits well on my jeep and works well with the plow that is attached. The installation requires tools and talent. I found a step drill was all that was needed to enlarge the mounting holes and of course a 9/16" drill to drill the additional hole needed to mount it to the frame. what I thought would be the hardest part threading the bolts from the inside of the frame was made easy by the threading springs included in the package. Kudos to who ever thought of that. I was able to use a small floor jack to hold it up while I marked the frame and inserted the bolts which made it easy. This is one of those projects that take four hours the first time you do it and one hour the second.

Arthritis, bad knees and bad back...
used the bike lift and managed just fine. Thanks

1997 Jeep TJ

Nice hitch, well made and easy to install, especially when you have a video that shows step by step!!! incredible quality in this product

2006 Jeep Wrangler

A well-designed, solid product. Installation instructions are clear. Good quality hardware. Did the whole thing by myself in an afternoon. To mark the location of two holes that need to be drilled in the frame, I supported the hitch on a long 2x6 and miscellaneous pieces of lumber that I keep on hand for cribbing purposes.

On my 2006 TJ Wrangler, there was nearly a 1/4" gap on both sides between the frame and the hitch plates. Some clearance is needed to install the hitch, but that gap seemed excessive. So I inserted four 1/2" washers on both bolts on the driver side of the hitch between the frame and hitch plate to take up most of the gap.

Now I have hitch mounts front and rear. I also bought a hitch mount for my winch. So, no matter how I get my Jeep stuck, I can pull it out in the right direction.

Bruce W.

Solid construction. Durable finish. Highly recommend.

Nice little hitch. Easy install, just over an hour. Stronger than the makeshift I had on before. Holds my plow real well and sturdy now.

Jeep Wrangler

We live on a farm and have several pieces of machinery that needs to be moved from place to place, not just towed behind. The front hitch receiver on our Jeep Wrangler makes this a piece of cake, not to mention dealing with our boat at the boat ramp. Works extremely well. Mounted a winch on a "hitch extender", and use it on either the front or rear of the Jeep now.

This is the 4th time I've ordered form etrailer and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I ordered with Stacey A. who was very courteous, polite, and knowledgeable. Ordered a front hitch for my Jeep Wrangler for a bike carrier and to attach my Warn winch. etrailer sent a video in my confirmation e-mail which was good as the provided instructions were not as clear to follow. Installed it by myself in less than an hour with no issues. Tested it by pulling my 3/4 ton Ram diesel up a 15 degree hill with the Jeep in 4 WD. NO problems. Would recommend etrailer and Curt hitch.

The front mount trailer hitch is working very well. It was easy to install, following the [online] video instructions. I plowed all my property trails several times last winter on some rugged terrain and the hitch didn't move even when I hit a stump in the snow that stopped me dead. I highly recommend this hitch.

Great hitch - pretty straight forward project for a do it yourselfer. Good instructions and the addition of the fish wire made pulling the hardware through the frame pretty easy. I use the hitch for a lightweight plow mount and it's been an awesome addition to my Jeep.

2006 Jeep Wrangler

Hitch is over-kill for my application (canoe carrier) - excellent construction.

Bruce L.

The front hitch has worked exactly as I had anticipated. Iuse it for a front-mounted steel T support I also have one for the rearhitch and while the T-support has carried mostly my tandem kayak, Ive alsocarried 28 aluminum extension ladder and several 2X8X16 long - all with no issues whatsoever. It works every bit as well as any rear-mounted hitch.Great product.

1997 Jeep TJ

The front hitch fit perfectly on my 97 Jeep TJ. The written instructions that came with the product were okay, but I had watched a You Tube video done by Curt of the installation for my vehicle before purchasing the product, and that was most helpful in me understanding how it was to be installed. The hitch looks good and is very rugged with a high quality black finish. I will be using the hitch to mount a plow, among other things.

Jeep TJ

Great fit, great instructions, all the parts were there. Heavy duty bolted to the frame, bought this to be able to use my hitch mounted winch from the front of my TJ. have also used to moved trailers around the property. Definitely recommend this product.
