This stop light switch kit is designed for towed vehicles that do not have functional brake lights when the engine is off. Works with Demco SBS Air Force One supplemental braking system to notify you when the brakes are applied in your towed car.

Demco SBS's Air Force One supplemental braking system is designed to notify you when your towed vehicle's brake lights are on. But some vehicles have brake lights that do not activate when the engine is off. Because the stop light switch on these vehicles is not functional while the car is being towed, Demco SBS has created a separate stop light switch that you can add onto your towed car.
Just connect the switch to your towed car's battery and to its output air line. This way the switch will sense via the air line when the car's brake pedal is applied, and it will then send a signal to the monitoring system.

I bought this kit to add to the Denco automatic braking system, that I installed on my Jeep. It is used to trigger a signal on my Demco wireless break monitor so that I am positive that the braking system is functioning.
Just finished installing the SMI AF1 on a 2012 Tiffin Phaeton and 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. While it took me substantially longer than the pro's, I found it straightforward to install and well documented, between SMI's video and etrailer's video. The brake system itself seems to me to be both well designed and well made. So far, it works just as advertised.

This is the second vehicle I've installed the switch in with the SMI Air Force 1 braking system. It's the best way to send a signal to an LED light on the dash of the Motorhome to let me know that the system is working. Great product. Easy to install.
Item was easy to install and kit contained all required materials. Very pleased with the quick and easy installation.
