Question:

At what temperature does the inline thermostat turn on the fan? After installing mine, it has not come on, but engine is up to temperature, about 190

I contacted Derale and they confirmed the thermostat on the Atomic-Cool Remote Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15450 needs to be reading 180°F for the fan to turn on.

They suggested to make sure you have everything installed correctly. This includes checking that you have the thermostat fitting installed on the inlet side of the oil cooler. Next, check the wiring for the thermostat switch. On the thermostat switch, one terminal should be wired to the positive wire coming from the electric fan on the oil cooler, and the other terminal should be wired to a 12V Switched Ignition Source.
